This isn’t the cheapest option as far as step platforms for step aerobics go, but it has a lot of features that others don’t have that make it well worth it. What I love: - the size: I can’t believe how tiny so many steps sold online are. This one is actually the size you’d see in any class, which means you can actually do what you’d need to with the correct amount of space - the weight capacity: many models have really low weight capacities, which is really unfair since movement should be accessible to everyone, and this one can accommodate larger bodies than most of the others I’ve seen - nonslip top: you couldn’t slip off the top if you tried - nonskid base: whether you have no tiers, one tier, or two tiers, the base is nonskid for all your non-carpeted floors - multiple tier options: many models come with one set of risers; this one has two, allowing for more flexibility with fitness levels, especially if you have multiple people in your home sharing it If you don’t think it’s a wonderful focal point of your room, it can be thin enough to slide under a couch or bed, or put flat against a wall somewhere. Ordered this step after ordering a smaller and cheaper one a few weeks back when I reintroduced step into my workout routine. After using that one for a couple of weeks, I realize I needed the old school step. This one arrived today and I used it tonight for a 45 minute step routine and it was perfect. More surface area, so I felt safer. Quality, sturdy, and stays in place even on a tile floor. It also didn’t make as much noise as the first step I purchased. This is a well made workout step, but I am not liking that the risers don't lock to the top or when you use all the risers. When you move the platform the risers slide around making it difficult - you have to literally just take the top off then pick up the risers, then relocate everything and secure it all together. We are only using 1 set of risers as when we used 2 it slid and created a fall risk. we are using the platform as a rise to help my husband get into bed ... show more

My husband has significant mobility issues, and has fallen to the floor several times without being able to get up on his own. His upper body strength is good, however, and his physical therapist recommended a method that involves him boosting himself up onto a step, then my using a transfer belt to get him the rest of the way. In searching for a step, I found this step platform which has three different heights, and it works great. It's lightweight but very sturdy, and the gripper top makes my husband feel like he's got some traction. Sometimes it feels wobbly on 1 side but then I think it could be my floor, not sure, but it gets the job done. I feel safe overall. It supports my weight well. The colors are pleasing. Would like to show it off in step class 1 day eventually. Would highly recommend.
