πŸš€ Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The product, a durable snow plow, is praised for its toughness, even under severe conditions, and its efficiency in removing snow. However, the assembling process can be challenging due to unclear instructions, and some parts, such as the skid shoes and the safety pin, might require upgrading due to substandard quality. Some customers also reported difficulties with the warranty service.

Pros

  • πŸ‘ Highly Durable: Customers testify to the plow's steadfastness even in tough conditions.
  • πŸ‘ Efficient in Snow Removal: Works well on different terrains.
  • πŸ‘ Good Value for Money: Many users feel the product delivers good value considering its price.

Cons

  • πŸ‘Ž Assembly Instructions: Unclear instructions can make the assembly process difficult for some.
  • πŸ‘Ž Quality of Certain Parts: Parts like skid shoes, transport safety pin and clasp might require upgrading or replacement.
  • πŸ‘Ž Delays in Warranty Service: Some customers reported unhelpful or slow warranty and service.

Should I Buy It?

Yes, this seems to be a reliable product for those in need of a sturdy and efficient snow plow. It provides a good value for money. However, be prepared for possible initial hiccups with the assembly, and consider the potential need for upgrading some parts.

  • It functions! Not a bear to install. BYO front hitch 2”.
If I were going to take away points: it hangs pretty far in front of the truck. The holes to mount the stiifeners were EXACTLY where my tow loops were on my front hitch, no alternative. It doesn’t seem to backdraw well..me? A PLUS: It comes with all bolts in place, washers and lock nuts on, not a bag of bolts and a bag of nuts, washers for you to aort through.. The assembly manual leaves a bit to be desired...common sense and perseverence needed, along with a full set of wrenches. My tips: 1) When putting the wheels on, there is a left set an a right set..test mount, and check that the locking pins align with the holes in both UP amd DOWN positions. 2) It is easiet to mount the rubber snow deflector by temporarily pinning it in place at each end with the wands. Note also that one of the three hold-down strips has two holes in the middle...this aligns with the two in the middle of the blade. The other two metal pieces don’t have bolts in one end...that’s where the wands will go permanently. 3) The saucers umder the blade are supposed to act like runners, so the blade doen’t scrape all of your gravel away. They were a bear to work with to set the blade height at 1/2”. The upper Nylok is BIG and TIGHT. I needed a 15” crescent wrench to turn them, but then the saucers turn with you! The tip is that there are flats at the base of the center screw...a welded nut...put locking pliers on that, loosen the nut just under the mounting plate, and adjust the Nyloks to give you the 1/2” lift to the blade. Then tighten the nut under the mounting plate to lock it all at that setting. 4) It is easiest to REMOVE ALL of the bolts they have pre-positioned for you, so they don’t act as stand-offs when installing that piece. ... show more

  • A very tough piece of equipment, but bad warranty
This has turned out to be a very durable snow plow. I've abused the heck out of it, and it's still working. My only problem with this plow is that the manufacturer's warranty is seriously lacking. There's a serious design flaw of the skid shoes: The lock nuts on the shoes are substandard, and don't stay tight. I had a skid shoe work its way loose during a snow storm, and although I frequently inspected the tightness of the bolts, per the owner's manual, didn't notice the loosening of this skid shoe, since it was totally covered with snow. This resulted in the plow getting bent on one side from being too low to the ground. The hardened steel of the blade was impossible to repair at home. DK did not make this right. They should have! Otherwise, as said earlier, this is a plow which can do more than you'd expect. ... show more

  • Well built plow for home use
I was impressed on how well it was packed for shipping. Easy to assemble . Well constructed materials and no missing parts. I would recommend this plow for home use .

  • The assembly directions are useless at best. The power lines to the winch are short.
After its mounted on the Gator it rocks. Pushes snow well. Blade is tall enough snow does not spill over the top back onto what you want cleared. Left, right, straight easy to hop off and angle the blade. Remote works as intended. Now. The power cords from the battery to the winch are probably 10 feet too short. Why skimp here when you have a good product? Not smart. No way to hide the wires underneath a UTV and forget about a pickup. There is not enough wire and the blade end connectors are tiny. Not sufficient for an automotive size battery terminal bolt. All in all pretty good but they did jack the price 60.00 when it snowed. Seriously ? ... show more

  • good value for the money, easy to assemble and install. Delivery sucks dropped off on side of road.
Nice plow second one I purchased because is a good value for home use, but not pleased with delivery they dropped it off on the side of the road at my home, and I have a very long paved driveway. No one notified me the delivery was made and it was garbage night. Perfect for someone to think I was tossing it out. Only found out because of nice UPS driver told me about it being on the side of the road next to my driveway. ... show more

  • The only thing worst than the shipping is the product support
The packaging of this product was a dismal mess. Loose items strapped to so they arrived all scratched and dented. The hardware is loosely fitted to the pieces so a handful of bolts, nuts, and washers were missing on arrival. Per the package, contact the manufacture for replacements. I used the website they directed me to and filled out the form with detailed descriptions of the missing hardware. I was contacted via email and asked to indicate which items were missing via an attached schematic. In response, I was asked again regarding which hardware was missing. I response to this was that maybe they should look up the items numbers I provided per their schematic. All correspondence stopped at that point and I was left to find the hardware through third party suppliers. The snowplow itself is of okay quality. I would be inclined to shovel 3 foot of snow off my 400 foot driveway by hand before I would purchase this product again. ... show more

  • Works nicely
First, the instructions are terrible. The pictures aren't very clear. And the written steps leave a lot to be desired. I had to figure some things out on my own. Thankfully, there are a few YouTube videos that help. As far as plowing snow, it works fine. My driveway is rough dirt with stones all over. So it's difficult to remove snow. But the plow works as well as I'd expected. I'm sure a cement or blacktop driveway would get all snow removed easily. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a good snow plow. It's a bit tricky to hook up to my truck. But after a few practice tries, it gets easier. Lubricating the hitch attachment and angle adjustment is a good idea. ... show more
