I needed something to add to my squat rack, and this was a simple addition. It sits easily under my rack with an easy bolt to tighten it. So far it's held up well over the last nine months or so. I'd advise keeping it in a rear corner if you're loading multiple 45# plates on your bar as it will side fractionally. Great product at a great price!

I don't know about you, but I find close-grip barbell rows to be very different from regular barbell rows in terms of results and muscle activation. This is a low-cost, low-profile way to make it possible to do this super effective movement in your home gym. Tip: tighten the knob that holds the bar in place while the bar is in the vertical position (you can tighten it more this way), then lower the bar to the horizontal position to begin rowing. I also kneel facing the bar and do one-armed presses. This position mimics an incline press, but requires a lot more effort because you need to use your core muscles to stabilize your body while pressing. And my dumbbells only go up to 50 lbs but I can use this device to do bent-over one-arm rows with the barbell.
