UPDATE**** worked good until about a week ago…. The gears started slipping and it would not stay in place…. I took it apart since I have before on others thinking things were loose or not oiled and it is unable to be adjusted or repaired…. I need another one now and will not be buying this brand…. Good construction it’s used for tensioning strand on utility poles for fiber installation. Love the size not too big and not too small just right and smooth operation!

Hooks and safety latch in the hooks are cheaply made, I was lifting (vertical) a 285 lbs valve and was getting stuck a lot going up…, I bought a like new open box version, I’m pretty sure that’s why they didn’t wanted it. Maybe mine it was bad and not all of them but let see what
