    • Thank you for burning my Arduino MKR1000 with wrong termination on the Lipo battery.

As you can see it on the first picture (with a red circle) the JST PHR2 connector of the Lipo battery is terminated wrong, red and black wires are swapped. As a result, my Arduino board burned the moment I plugged in the JST connector. Then, I went to SparkFun website and found other similar batteries with the same JST connector (2nd picture with green circle). It shows the opposite polarity terminated on the JST connector than this Lipo battery. I also found a statement in the Arduino website saying "If you want to connect a battery to your MKR1000 be sure to search one with female 2 pin JST PHR2 type connector. Polarity: looking at the board connector pins, polarity is Left = Positive, Right = GND". On the third picture, the one on the left is from Arduino website and it shows the +ve wire is on the "left" facing at the JST connector pins of the Arduino. However, the picture on the right is the connection I made with my Arduino which shows +ve being hooked on the "right". Besides, the JST connector on the Lipo battery has a key-way that it can only be installed only in one direction. I hope, after getting this positive feedback, the manufacturer will take a corrective action on this product ASAP. Thank you, FK ... show more

Worked great to revive my naga epic chroma, had to reverse the polarity before plugging in, but that's common sense to me unlike the other reviewer who fried his product because he didn't check first. It's not like these random lipo batteries have some standard connector and polarity. The cables are colored the correct polarity so next time pay attention ;) ... show more
