  • very compact for storage, easy to extend and collapse.
I got this "YANATTLYS Telescoping Ladder" for travel with my RV, as it does not have a built-in ladder for roof access. It is very compact, and not too heavy. Collapsed it will take up about the same amount of storage space as a folding camp chair. Around the house, I find I am grabbing this ladder more than my other ladders (I have several different types of folding ladders). I like the light weight, and easy setup. When extended, it does have some wobble and flex while climbing. When exiting the roof onto the ladder, the wobble can sometimes be a bit un-nerving, but so far it does not seem like a safety issue. I am 200lbs and the flex is noticeable but does not seem unsafe. For larger jobs (Christmas lights, construction) I will be using my other, more sturdy ladders. But for quick jobs, and travel in the RV, I will be grabbing this telescoping ladder. ... show more

  • Follow the directions and you won't have problems
This is my first telescoping ladder, and am surprised at just how well it's worked out. It comes with leaflet directions and directions on a permanent sticker on the ladder. This extends from the bottom up, if you try to pull the top rungs up, it will not lock in. Each rung has 2 tiny windows which indicate red for unlocked, green for locked and 1/2 green and red when close but not locked so the above rung needs extended about 1/2 way up for it to lock. It's very easy just pay attention, if they aren't green don't step there. Each rung has 2 red curved release buttons on the bottom, these are designed to automatically depress when collapsing it. But I found you need to pay attention that you don't accidentally hit one while ascending or descending with your foot or hand, otherwise things get spooky. I wouldn't mind if these were better protected. This extends to 12.5', but the top 3 rungs no matter how short or tall you have it extended, are strongly suggested not to be stood on for safety purposes. This doesn't bow or bend as long as you have it at the proper angle which if I remember correctly is around 30โฐ. There are 2 black release buttons near the bottom rung. You slide one side at a time while holding the ladder with the other hand. If you slide both at the same time watch out, since the lower rung comes slamming down. If you do as directed each rung comes down in a controlled manner. I'm pleased with it and love how easy it is to move around and store. Hopefully this was helpful, Thank you! ... show more

  • I love the mechanism of these ladder, but...
When you live in a house with vaulted ceiling, you better have a ladder around! This ladder extends to about 12.5 feet, which is enough for any task I could face in my house. The ladder can be stored in a considerable small area, feels strong and heavy (the only thing I do not like). Keep in mind that this is actually heavier but stronger than those aluminum ladders you may be familiar with. ... show more

  • Excellent
Great for around the house projects. When folded it is very easy to move around and store. Takes up very little space. Once retracted, it is very sturdy.
