  • Great fan and light.
Powerful and silent. Wish it would work with alexa but still extremely happy with it. Easy to install and works well with iPhone app. Timer function is a great way to have a wake up call. Wish it had RGB, but that being picky. The current color temperatures and brightness are a perfect combination for different moods in the bedroom. ... show more

  • Functions work, quiet operation
I read reviews before I bought these fan/light units. Some said there was not a ground wire. Others complained that they could not tell the wires apart. Some complained it was flimsy. Some said it was hard to install. I decided to try one anyway. The unit was well packaged in molded Styrofoam. We read the instructions. We found that the wires were labeled "N" and "L" with stick on labels, and there was also a ground wire. The "L" means to me "live', but I think in electrician terms it means "Line". The "N" represents neutral. In our case, we were replacing existing fans or fan/light combinations, and the electrical box was already in the ceiling. We had a little problem lining up the attachment screws to secure the base to the electrical box, because it is hard to get high enough to see well. It just took a little patience and concentration. Out greatest difficulty was lining up the fan unit to the base. When you look at it in the box, it is easy to see how they fit together, but when installing on the ceiling, it was hard to get them lined up. In order to see if they are fitting, you have to have your eye next to the ceiling. We discovered that if put a small mark in the base at every connecting slot, and a corresponding mark on the fan unit section, it was easier to match them up, and connect them together. It was still hard to tell if all the slots were connected. We discovered that we had to cut the silver soldered ends of the unit's wires off, and strip off a section of insulation to get a proper connection. Having the 'safety wire' was a big help. We had a small glitch with most installations. (I tested one unit for a couple weeks, and liked it, so we ordered more, for a total of eleven fan/lights.) However, none of the difficulties had anything to do with how the new fan was made, other than what I mentioned about connecting the fan unit to the base. Some reviews said that the fan did not move enough air, and they could not feel the air. I found that if I had the fan reversed, I did not feel air movement. If I reversed it again, air movement was stronger. Perhaps it is not as strong as the previous traditional fans with long blades, but I do not want a fan blowing papers all around. I think the air movement on the highest setting is plenty. I enjoy being able to dim the LED lights with the remote, and I like changing the color of the light from cool to warm. Some of my family like one extreme, and others the opposite, so everyone is happy. Some reviewers said the unit seemed flimsy. I know it is lighter weight, but I think it is sturdy enough. I have learned how to use the remotes, and all of them work well. We have set all of them up with a wall switch controlling the fan/light operation. When I turn it on with the wall switch (the way I want it to operate, since we used a wall switch before), the light comes on. To get the fan to work, I use the remote control. I have not yet downloaded the app. I do have a complaint about the remote - I found it very hard to get the battery compartment open. I have used them for a few weeks, and like them. ... show more

  • A Tabletop Fan for the Ceiling
-UPDATED REVIEW- When I reviewed this product earlier, I was expecting a bit more from this ceiling fan. I believed it was not much more than an inexpensive fan you might get from Target. The overall design and materials used are mostly all plastic which makes for a lightweight assembly. There is a wire hanger which comes with the fan to assist in wiring, as if to give a helping hand when you're 6-feet off the floor on a ladder. There is a remote to select 6-speeds which I found are generally quiet but, only after I added a foam isolator between the ceiling and mounting base. Lighting is adjusted for brightness and stepped dimming and can change from bright white to warm glow. Customer Support was good because they wanted to follow up with my initial review. Bottom line - this is a good product and a reasonable price with multiple settings which should satisfy most of your needs. This ceiling fan is easy to install if you take your time with it and looks great when it's all done. ... show more

  • Definitely does not move air like a bladed ceiling fan. Might be good for tiny rooms.
Pros: -Simple to install. -Surprisingly quiet. Although, louder than a bladed fan. -Light (as in not heavy). -Option to dim and change light color. -Can control with your phone (this turned out to be a major plus, because my kids instantly lost the remote). Cons: -The fan blows straight down in a narrow column of air, even with the diffuser going. You can only feel it if you are standing directly below the fan. -The light is bright, but it does not brighten up a large area like a regular ceiling fan with lights would. -It's not bladeless, which we expected, but the blades/propeller isn't even covered on the side. It is only covered from the bottom, so it's not a complete safety upgrade like we were hoping. This fan just does not move air like a bladed fan does. We have kids that use our bonus room as a bedroom, so we wanted to replace the 2 bladed fans with "bladeless" fans because they are constantly hitting the blades and knocking the fans out of balance. So maybe this was an unfair comparison, but this type of fan just does not move air like a regular fan does. Even with just a single bladed ceiling fan turned on in this room, you immediately feel air moving in the room. And if you reverse the direction of the blades, you can feel air circulating down the walls. With this "bladeless" fan, you feel absolutely NOTHING unless you are directly below the fan. When you reverse the flow, you just feel nothing, no matter where you stand. Very disappointed in this fan, but still hoping to find a good replacement for the bonus room that is more child friendly/durable. I wanted to give a 2 star rating, just because I like the idea...but this is a fan that doesn't move air well, so I just can't give it more than 1 star. ... show more
