We recently bought a farm and our first effort was to build a guest quarters that we could live in while we build a home. I installed a cedar ceiling in the small apartment we put in a pole barn we built. I wanted something small that would not compete with the cedar but put out a useful amount of light. These worked great. Also I put the living room lights (5 in total) on a dimmer, they dim perfectly, no flickering that can be common with some leds. In all I used a dozen of these in a 1BR/1BA apartment and they are working awesomely. Also they fit a 4" hole saw cut out perfectly and hold tightly. These are great, had them installed by an electrician but if I wanted to take the time, I could easily do it myself. Thinking I will install the next set and have electrician finalize and wire in, because up to that point, it’s simple. Make your holes, pop them in and link together. I installed 8 of these. + straightforward installation, no complaints + thin enough you don't have to worry about rafters and joists being in the way + includes wire nuts + bright - The "warm" setting still isn't as warm as incandescent, but this isn't unusual for LED lighting - The trim looks a bit cheap from a distance...not much style in these designs - Longevity is TBD...fortunately they can be replaced without going into the attic. ... show more

These lights are bight and proved any room with great lighting. They fit snug to the ceiling and are easy to install. On the down side the transformer boxes are not so durable. We installed these in our remodeled home in 2020. Between 2020 and 2022 we have replaced 5 of our transformer boxes.
