Initially I was looking at B&W and Focal Sib evo I wasn't aware of Yamaha making these indoor/outdoor speakers. These were just what I was looking for and at a price that's easy on the wallet. Currently on sale at Amazon. A good match with the Pioneer VSX 534 A/V amp. Give it at least a week to break-in. It will give bigger systems a run for the money. Speaker sound quality is decent, though the sealed 5" mid/woofer does not have much bass. 85dB sensitivity is not very efficient so you need a fair amount of power, but it cannot take too much either. These are good along with a sub or maybe in a rear or atmos setup for a TV in the covered porch for example. Appearance is good for the class and mounting was easy. No mounting screws are included. Swivel range is about 45 degrees. I'm using them in a fully covered area so don't know about weather resistance. ... show more

Bought these speakers for my outdoor pool bar. Easy to mount although surprisingly I did not see any screws for mounting (though any reasonably sized screw will work). Connecting with speaker wire (sold separately) was easy enough. Sound quality is good - never had to get close to max volume

Amazing sound quality very balanced highs mids and lows. I have them set up for my pool outside in my shed miuting always a breeze and again sound is amazing debating getting two more for next summer! Great quality and clarity
