  • excellent piece of equipment you cant go wrong with it
Style: Straight Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
durable, heavy enough, sturdy. If your moving you kit often you may want a double brace but this works just fine for me

  • Don't let "Single-Braced" or "Medium Weight" fool you -- these are SOLID!!!
Style: Boom Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
Fantastic stands! I just bought a second one of these. Don't let the "single-braced" or "medium weight" descriptions fool you. These are SOLID stands. In fact, they're heavier than you'd expect -- the weight is about 2/3's of what my Pearl heavy weight 900 series stands weigh. For cymbal use, I'm replacing my (extremely) heavy double-braced stands with these. Unless you're planning on hanging a 14+" tom plus two large cymbals, these will do the trick. The Yamaha 700 series stands are a great way to get pro-level stability in a cymbal stand and save a little weight a little weight at a good price. If there is any "negative," it is that, like any hideaway boom stand, there are certain boom angles you cannot use between where the boom stows and where it clears the hardware for extension. ... show more

  • Solid!
Style: Straight Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
I purchased this stand to replace my Mapex 800 with an 18" crash that's my go to. The quality of yamaha hardware is ridiculous, they look beautiful and are super sturdy with the wide foot base. Barely any visible shake.

  • Solid and sturdy at the right price
Style: Boom Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
Working drummer here. I love this stand. It's inexpensive, yet has great sturdiness to it. I downgraded from DW 9000 hardware because my case was just too heavy. This was the perfect fit, as it is heavy duty, but not super heavy in weight. It holds my 24" medium weight ride on the boom arm with no prob. Yamaha's hardware is so well engineered. All of the parts hold well without slipping, and without having to over tighten. Very trustworthy. If you are new to the hardware world, rest assured that this is the best bang for your buck- without spending too much, nor sacrificing quality that you'd hope for that'll last you a long time. Totally recommended! ... show more

  • Standard Yamaha Drum Hardware Excellence
Style: Straight Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
I purchased the other company's full drum hardware package for $100 on Amazon. Some of the parts aren't bad, but they are very light weight. Since I wanted more reliable stuff for my drum set, I have been piecing together the Yamaha hard ware I have with my kit at church. Even though this is the "medium-weight" stand, it is very sturdy and durable. I'm a pretty heavy hitter, and the stand just takes everything I have and doesn't care. There is no wobble, no movement, nothing. Very awesome, and as I feel the need to replace more of the parts from the other set, I will continue to use all Yamaha hard ware to do it. ... show more

  • OK, not as good as the Indonesia made stands
Style: Boom Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
This does the job but the casting isn't the same quality as the stands that used to be made in Indonesia. I haven't put it through hard use but for my purposes it will be fine. Just a little bummed about the casting.. I've seen that with other brands of course as well so Yamaha is no exception.

  • Best medium weight stands, in my opinion.
Style: Boom Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
These are great stands. They are sturdy and durable and fold down nice and compact with the boom sliding right inside for a straight little package. If you gig a lot these are clutch. I have played hard rock gigs with these and they hold up just as good as any heavy, double-braced stands. Unless you are holding large cymbals at crazy angles, there’s not much that you can’t accomplish with one of these. ... show more

  • No Brainer
Style: Boom Size: Medium Weight, Single-Braced Color: Single-Braced
In the early 1980's, Yamaha revolutionized drum hardware. They were the first company that actually figured it out and made something that didn't look like it came from a hardware store or Sears. I've played for over 35 years, many of them on Yamaha drums, specifically because of great hardware like this! This is the best all-round cymbal stand in the industry. Good for all but the heaviest applications. They last forever. I have a couple of 700 series stands that were made in the early 80's, and they still work! At this great price though, I can get new ones just to improve the look of my kit, since many of mine are so old and scratched up from touring. ... show more
