Update: I just bought my second one. This one will sit outside so I added three coats of polyurethane. Once again everything arrived intact and it was very easy to build. I’m happy I bought from this company. This one will sit outside so I added some extra protection with Varathane which is water-based. It took one quart to do three coats. I also used gorilla brand waterproof outdoor clear caulk in the seams. It held up very well in a downpour. Very very happy with this purchase and worth the time and $40 expense to add extra protection. Original review: I’ve built a lot of stuff made in China and this is by far one of the best build-it-yourself pieces I’ve ever done. It was super easy to assemble despite having multiple pieces. No components were missing. Nothing was damaged in shipping. Packaging was protective but not cumbersome to dispose of. Every piece was labeled correctly. All the screws and hardware were clearly labeled in individual packages. The illustrated diagrams were without written instructions and it was easy to understand, step-by-step, page by page. I’m not really savvy with tools, but I didn’t need to be. I had it together in under an hour by myself. I used a cordless screwdriver and on one part I used a pair of pliers to hold a nut while I fastened the bolts. All the pieces fit together without effort. The quality of the finished piece is exactly what I expected for the price I paid, about $130. It’s not heavy but is certainly sturdy. I got the light green color and it’s exactly as pictured. You can see the wood grain. Each piece is real wood. Mine is on a covered porch so no need to clear coat it for protection, but I would if it was going to get wet. My husband and I are avid gardeners and I will keep gardening tools for my front yard beds in the potting table, but I will also use it as a whimsical piece. I’m perfectly happy with this piece and will purchase from this manufacturer again should they offer something’s I would be interested in. Pleasant experience. ... show more

Nice bench, looks great when assembled. All parts were in the box and assembly was fairly easy. Only one problem, several screws ran directly into knots in the wood. This made it difficult to get the screw in and when pressure is applied, you could hear the wood starting to crack and in on case a portion of the wood knot started falling out. Solution was to pre-drill the screw holes when knots were in the way. Not a big deal and the bench looks great. ... show more

Great table for the money. I’ve seen some reviews complaining about the perceived durability and sturdiness of this product. Yes it’s made of soft pine, and yes it’s not super heavy but remember you are only paying ~ $120 for this table. Not sure the folks complaining know what teak, cedar or redwood costs these days. For the price you are getting a basic potting table with a nice drawer and a small cabinet. It is stained and maybe treated for insects (smells like cedar). Everything in my shipment fit well but not perfectly, none the less it went together easily and the instructions were clear, at least to me. There are some dowel and mortise and tenon joins which should be glued in my opinion but it’ll be fine without. All the screws and bolts were clearly labeled in individual packets as were the wooden pieces of the table. We are going to put this potting table in an area next to our large vase potted flowers in a space that will be partially covered but still exposed to the weather. Having said that I will purchase some adjustable feet to keep the legs out of rain water and plan on giving it a coat or two of spar varnish or Tung oil. Wouldn’t expect this to last for years and years but is well worth the price. If you are determined to get something that you’ll hand down to generations to follow, this is not for you but I’d still recommend it for the price. ... show more

The potting bench arrived well packaged and earlier than I expected. It definitely is easier to assemble with an extra pair of hands and a power drill but it was not a difficult assembly. It is lightweight but very sturdy. It is also quite attractive. I especially like the metal top as this will help with clean up, unlike wood where the dirt collects in the natural grain. If you plan to keep it outside, I would probably still stain it to help protect it. Mine will live inside the greenhouse and I look forward to using it for many years into the future. ... show more

Nothing to dislike about this garden bench. I purchased the light green and it came perfectly packaged. Easy instructions as well. It's not built for heavy duty gardening which is what I love about it. There's storage, a drawer and a little shelf for my supplies.
