They seem to be child friendly in that the toddler is just learning to climb things; kitchen chairs being his favorite and they haven't tipped over...yet. One customer mentioned not being able to level the chairs. My daughter-in-law had the same problem, the chair was stable when it was assembled (on concrete flooring) but in the dining room hardwood floor, they all rocked like a boat in a breeze! These chairs are exactly as pictured I ordered the Grey. They seem super sturdy. Out of the box they are wobbly but you just unscrew the foot on one of the legs and boom.....sturdy even chair! The instructions don't tell you that by the way. ( they def could have been better) Putting them together was super easy. It was a great buy for the price, they wipe clean which is what I wanted. These chairs are not high end. Not a lot of seat cushion. They look great. But don’t sit flat. All four wobble to the extent that the two leveler buttons on bottom of front legs cannot be adjusted out enough. That said, when you sit in them they sit level

I purchased these chairs to replace a set literally on their last legs. I am not one to be moved to write Amazon reviews much. But this was a superior experience. First the cost was very reasonable for the quality. Second the shipping was timely and all of the parts were carefully packed. Third the hardware came with extras - I didn't end up needing them but I thought that was very thoughtful. Fourth it was easy to assemble. And the product is comfortable and beautiful. I am extremely satisfied and recommend it wholeheartedly. The only thing I will add to a prospective buyer is just to allow plenty of time for screwing in the screws - it's done with an allen wrench, included, but it just takes time and patience. The instruction manual was easy to follow too. FWIW I am not someone who one would consider "handy", on a scale of 1-10 in terms of 10 being most difficult I would say this was about a 3. Originally, we purchased a set of these that were very comfortable & sturdy. That set is still going strong! Decided to get a 2nd set 'cause we liked them so much & wanted more seating.
