I teach teenagers at church and bought this to be able to make journals and other little books and for that it is working great. This is not super heavy duty, I would not use it for any large jobs, this is just perfect for home use or hobby. So far I have used it to punch cardstock, regular paper, and plastic and it has worked great. I was worried by reviews that said you couldn’t avoid half cut holes when using US letter paper but as per photo if you line up the US letter paper with the white line between the inch/mm columns on the table it works PERFECTLY!! :)) Do note that it can’t punch more than 6 sheets of paper at a time and 1 sheet at a time for clear covers. It did not handle the Fellowes black plastic binder cover very well & even when punched one at a time I had to hand trim several of the holes that were not fully punched. However this was the back cover (clear was the front) and it still delivered a very polished result that got lots of compliments! :) ... show more

    • Performed the job I wanted done.
Used this product to put together a number of family history books, 6 books, 25 sheets per book plus cover and backing., it is a light duty machine but for the price and occasional usage it will receive it was well worth it and performed very well. Also received 2 different size combs with the unit, 1/4" and 1/2", I only used the 1/2", the 1/4" are hard to use and only good for a few sheets of paper with a cover and backing. ... show more

    • once you figure it out, it works great
Took me a few tries to figure this out, especially how to put the combs into the paper. The instructions aren't very clear. But once you figure it out, it works great. I did have to tweak the paper sizing guard so that it would work for American printer paper but it wasn't that bad to figure out.

Does the job you expect. I'm a a college student and I hate the standard thin sheets of paper which bleeds with my favorite pens. I bought this a few weeks ago and began making journals for myself using cardstock paper. Soon after friends of mine asked me to make them journals for Christmas. I worked st a print center when I was younger and used an expensive version of these machines. This one works really good, it’s really user friendly and mine gets tossed around a bit and hasn’t broken so I’m quite pleased with is durability. The only thing you have to watch out for is bending the metal points on top, but the one I bent back bent into place again very easily. The handle is removable which makes storage much easier ... show more

I give it 5 stars for doing what it does in manner exactly as advertised. Only improvement I wish it had is ability to turn off punches at ends for neater presentation. I bought this item because it’s the closest I could find to my old GBC binder with adjustable stops and I needed a second binder for remote office. Original GBC binder still going strong after 40 years, and I hope this one lasts a long time too ... show more
