It's my no means a beast but I needed something for my daughter (8yo) to be able to cut balsa & basswood for arts & crafts and this thing delivers. She can safely operate it and has no trouble cutting. Not bad at all.

    • Will not fully cut a 1/2" square dowel rod
My wife uses this to cut 1/2 inch square dowels for picture frames. It will NOT cut through.. the blade is misaligned. The belt is too loose and tightening it makes the partial cut worse. The belt without proper tightening wears extremely quickly. Looking at Amazon, this is THE design for these saws. I am investigating a better solution. This is handy and easy to use but, if you are looking for a device which will cut complete, my advice is keep looking. This model at least, does not meet the need ... show more

    • Trims 5.56x45 to 300 BlackOut with ease.
I’m using this saw to trim rifle brass, to create 300 ACC out of 5.56x45. So far I’m done over 500 brass, and it seems just as sharp as new. Neat little saw, and I’m very satisfied with it.
