TLDR: Great product and build quality, lousy anchor strap that can be fixed Despite woefully un-detailed picture assembly instructions, the frame itself is intuitive to put together just by matching the hinge direction and putting together from there. At the time of purchase this was a low volume/low reviewed product, so certainly an element of taking a risk. We ended up purchasing a Regelo bed rail just in case as a backup, but liked this one so much we returned the Regelo without needing to open it. The metal frame is sturdy and well built, all pieces are protected in their box well, and importantly, the net is properly stretched with little sag and seems to have high-quality stitching. I laughed a bit at the box it came in (said something like a "$179 retail value" on the front), but it's certainly well worth the $30-$40 price tag on Amazon. The hinge works great and can sustain constant toddler yanking and climbing without breaking or snapping. The side panel has the frame going through the top and bottom, leaving a middle track I used to pull the strap through since it's a small mattress. My only complaint with this product is the anchor strap (specifically the strap, the anchor plate itself is a sturdy metal one). The strap is loose, easily crinkled, and had a cheap oversized friction tightener on it that has been much more useful in the trash. That being said, a clever knot or replacement fastening method it enough to secure the strap and still be useful. I'd like to see an updated strap with easy tightening adjustment in a V2 of this product. That's the reason for 4 stars, but still a highly-recommended product. ... show more

Love this product! Was affordable, extremely easy to put together and setup. And very convenient. The fact that it folds down and makes it easier for my child to get in and out of bed was what got me to purchase and try it out. The prior bedrail we were using was always in the way when she wasn't sleeping and was a huge inconvenience having to remove it and then setup it again for her. This bedrail keeps my child safe in bed at night and also gives the both of us the freedom of accessing the bed outside of nap/bedtime. Despite setting the old one up properly, sometimes if she rolled hard enough into it, it would push away from the bed leaving a gap for her to roll into. I've got a toddler who rolls around when she sleeps, so I needed a bed rail to make sure she didn't fall out of bed. All the rails I saw were either really expensive or only work on beds with box springs. She sleeps on a bed with slats and no box spring, so I was in a bind until I found this rail. It was easy to assemble (but the directions were a little unclear) and super easy to install. I probably didn't need to screw the unit into the slats because of the way her bed is, but I did anyway. It's pretty sturdy and she loves playing with it (putting it up and down). All in all, a great purchase, and by far the best bang for your buck you can ask for. ... show more

I bought the rail for my to toddler fell off the bed couple of times. The rail is made of premium quality materials and high standard craftsmanship It is light but very sturdy. It took me about 15 minutes to set it up. My daughter tried again to crawl to the edge of the bed. She held onto the edge of the rail and it doesn't bend a bit. My only complaint is the rail is is slightly short for my king sized bed. Wish the manufacturer could provide longer rail for king size bed. we needed something a little smaller in length to use for the hotel bed during our vacation, and this was perfect. It came in a smaller box that we could throw in the trunk for our long drive, and easy to assemble once we got to our destination. We also put part of it in between the bed and the nightstand for extra support since we didn’t strap it to the frame as suggested. This rail has done exactly what we need it to do, keep my toddler from rolling off her bed in the middle of the night. It is also a lot taller than other bed rails we have owned, which I think is a bonus because if they're standing up on the bed its more difficult to flip over the rail by accident.

This seems to be a good bed rail for my co-sleeping gremlin. We had a 69” one that you can connect to others around the bed, well the kids liked to hang on the bar that’s forever standing upright when they’re hanging out in my room, so as good as it was, not having a versatile bed rail that folds was not working for my king size bed. This is small yes, works better for a toddler or twin bed perfectly, but I have no complaints after install. I can easily fold it so I can make our bed without maneuvering tall poles on the side of my bed. My only quarrel with what I received was the fact that the instructions are next to none. Pictures are easy to follow as I’m always building as a busy mom, took me 10 minutes tops to put it together, but it came with a tether to place along the box spring and I’ve never used one and the instructions don’t say anything about them. They’re vague instructions and welllll….have an interesting choice of words ha, but overall easy to follow with pictures. I’ve attached pics of the instructions as well. There were no reviews on this and I took a chance because it was a good price plus a coupon made me take the plunge. Hope this helps others looking at it. The hinge seems really high quality, once put together it’s actually quite sturdy, and no screws really required unless you’re using the tether. I like that the piece that slides under the mattress is round and connect to eachend, whereas the king bed rails have weird L brackets that you need to screw into the box spring for stability. I bought this to have and end rail on a bottom bunk bed for my 8 month old. We had to use zip ties to secure it because of where it was placed. There are buttons on each side to push and fold down for easy access. It stays in place and keeps the little one in.
