I normally don't write product reviews, but this engine stand is so terrible that felt as though I had to warn other potential purchasers! The welding is atrocious, and the finish is terrible. The parts were shipped loosely in the box, and several of the bags of fasteners were torn open. So....plenty of missing nuts and bolts. I didn't have high expectations for this stand when I bought it, but it was WAY worse than I expected. At this point, it's not worth it to return this item, the cost for shipping would probably be prohibitive. I'll use it for my engine rebuild, then promptly toss it in the scrap bin when I'm done. EDIT (10-24-15): Today I tried to bolt my Chevrolet 350 small block to this engine stand...it didn't fit. The most popular engine of all time won't bolt up to this pile of garbage! The four black support arms are machined in such a way that they the furthest they can be adjusted from one another is 15". Of course, the bellhousing bolts on the Chevy engine are 15-1/2" apart... Sure, I could slot the mounting holes on each arm with my milling machine, but why bother. This thing is going back to the seller, regardless of the cost. JUNK! Do yourself a favor and find a different engine stand... ... show more

  • Good
Giving it five stars so my comment will be seen Item did not hold the weight it said it would they offer refunds but makes you pay for return shipping cost which is the price of the item so you’ll end up being stuck with a 200 product that doesn’t work don’t waste your money on this product

  • Dont Waste your money
Bought 2 of these because of the capacity(2000 lbs). I hung a 5.7 hemi out of my Ram on it. I though that first it would not handle it, and the mounting brackets that were made out of light gauge square tubing and were flimsy at best. Then they would not go wide enough for a American V-8. So I had to fabricate the two lower mounting brackets to mount a V-8. The power coating is very nice except on the swivel for the engine, it restricts being able to rotate the engine on the stand. The 5.7 hemi only weighs 840 lbs, as per the shipper. The metal wheels are very hard to move around on a cement floor, there about the cheapest I have ever seen. If I could give a 0 star I would. ... show more

  • Much more Stable
It takes the weight of my Big Block better than my old stand but still a little flimsier than I'd like. I like the four leg design and the folding front legs

  • Haven't mounted a engine to it yet.
Seems to be very sturdy and the welds seem to be of good quality. I have been welding for a couple of decades and will be pulling a Chevy 350 engine later this year. And can add more info after I bolt the engine to it then.

  • Some what disappointed
Just recived this stand today. opened box to find hardware bolts washers etc. all over the bottom of the box also gravel inside the box not sure how that happens. Instructions sucked but wasn't to hard to figure it out. Not sure how it will stand up with engine on it but should work. The pin that it comes with that holds in place for rotation will not work I will trash that and replace with a bolt. The price was fine but you will need to make a few tweaks to it. It was also was missing a few bolts and washers. ... show more

  • Arms Too Short
The arms are too short for the 4.7l V-8 out of my 2000 Dakota. Had to develop an adaptor becauseI couldn’t find longer arms. 4 Stars

  • Don’t buy
The holes didn’t line up on that middle post with the side straps, black mount that bolts up to block not welded straight also not drilled straight where you lock it up so it doesn’t spin, thinking about it small tubes used to bolt up very thin only nice thing that bright me to buy was swivel front wheels, box came in damaged was not able to use original box had to buy new one... ... show more
