This guy saved me once when I accidentally spilled an energy drink on my laptop, not the reason I got it, however, I am grateful. It works great as a keyboard shortcut and has made learning Ableton 9 much easier. I know I could print off the shortcuts but this small purchase was worth it. Important to note that when I am running a lot of plug-ins/VST programs within my DAW it can overheat and put a lot of stress on the fan. I notice when I take this off it does help cool the computer. Fits great. Minor ripples toward the edge that don't cause any negative effects. Don't expect this to protect against a major spill as this lays on top of the keyboard unsealed. Does everything I expected it to for the price. I am writing this review with it on so it does not hinder typing. I have one concern that is too early for me to tell - I worry that after a lot of use the Paint will come off. I will follow up in about 6 month to advise on any ware and tear to the product. The ONLY reasons this review is not a 5 is because I would have liked to see some kind of sticky, gelatin-like adhesive or even suction cup-like edge that would seal the edges - mainly for protection against big spills. However, for the price this is great and I have already memorized double the Shortcuts I knew from 1 week of use. Sorry for the upside-down photos. The close up one show the minor ripples - they don't hurt anything but a big spill would leak in. All the other products I looked at lay on top like this so I think there will not be a way around the spill aspect. ... show more
