I tried one of the other highly rated keyboard covers but it required a lot more effort in typing and I love the light touch of my Magic Keyboard 2. This cover is significantly thinner and fits perfectly, no gaps at the edges. They provide tape but I haven't used it so far. I do have to exert a little more pressure but just a little. I work all day on my computer and have drinks around plus cats and had to replace my previous Magic Keyboard 2 because of crumbs and cat hair sliding in between the keys and lodging under keys, causing them to require a lot of push to get them to work. There's no way to open the keyboard and the spaces between the keys are not wide enough to blow out what's accumulated inside. So when I got a replacement keyboard, I wanted to prevent stuff from getting inside, these keyboards are too expensive to replace once a year! I also love that they ship it flat in two layers of cardboard, no wrinkles! ... show more

This Mac keyboard cover works well enough. It is very flexible and easy to get into place. It comes with a few sticky pads for the corners to keep from shifting. If I have any debris, such as crumbs, that land on the keyboard, they won't get inside. I can just use a makeup brush to whisk them away. It's what I needed. Typing is just the same as without it. It doesn't seem terribly durable, but it's inexpensive enough that I can replace down the road if I need to. I like how it helps me keep the keyboard clean and I never have to turn it upside down and shake it. ... show more

This item fits perfectly and has not friction for being the fast typer that I am. Most of the others impede typing and the painted on numbers/characters wear of in short time. The only downside is that it doesn't have any sticking power to the keyboard so it wants to slide around on either end. The easy solution was a very tiny piece of scotch tape to keep it attached to the keyboard. The tape strips that came with it didn't seem useful. ... show more

As you're typing, this thing hops all over the place on the keyboard. You'd be better off just putting a layer of saran wrap over your keyboard. I threw it in the trash within 5 minutes of use. Just garbage. Not even worth returning. Avoid at all costs if you actually ever use your keyboard to type things. ... show more

I’m a bit disappointed by this item, but it seems to be the standard design for keyboard covers these days. I had a very old one from a long-dead keyboard that actually fit over the keys perfectly AND wrapped around the sides, making it virtually impossible to get wet. This one doesn’t do that, and apparently, none of them do any more. It does fit perfectly around the keys (I have the Apple Extended Keyboard), is much thinner and clearer than my old one, but doesn’t seem to quite do the job I wanted it to do. The edges of the cover only extend around two millimeters short of the keyboard case’s perimeter, so if you spill something, you had better hope it’s not much and hits dead center of the keyboard, otherwise the moisture could wick around the edges and get underneath the cover. Not good for a product that purports to protect. I will say that the feel against the fingers is superior to my old one, virtually identical to typing without one and easy to get used to. Thinner and clearer material (silicone?) that doesn’t seem as likely to yellow with age. A few pieces of sticky tape are included to prevent lifting of the cover, but I’ve yet to use them, as they won’t prevent seepage around the outer edges. It will DEFINITELY stop things like like dust, hair and crumbs (yes, I eat at my computer, just like the rest of you) from getting between the keys, but I dread the day (and it WILL come) that I spill a full glass of liquid on my keyboard. For just a few pennies more, this could be an absolutely flawless FIVE STAR product. But for now, I’m only going to give it an average rating of three stars, as it appears to be NO BETTER than other covers that cost less. HEY, PRODUCT DESIGNERS… pay attention to this; engineer it to wrap around the edges and you could easily charge two or three bucks more of pure profit. After all, you’re in the business of making protective covers, not keyboards. Get it right, it ain’t hard to do. ... show more
