Description

PowerPro MicrolineToday's anglers are more educated than ever. The fact that many bodies of water are getting clearer is exactly why PowerPro has created Microline. The thin diameter of this line is going to give lures more action in the water and the kind of presentation that anglers dream about. The three end braided construction and near-zero stretch make this the most sensitive line PowerPro has ever offered. Whether you fish for Walleye, Trout, Panfish, or Bass, this Microline will change the way you think about fishing forever.FeaturesSpool directly from the boxBuilt-in cutterPackage protects the remaining lineArbor tape included

Great line, the only line I use in saltwater. Caught several sharks and suffered no abrasion related break offs. It allows you to stuff about twice the equivalent weight monofilament on a reel which can really save the day when you hook in to something huge- plenty of line for big runs and twice as strong. It won't degrade in sunlight like mono or get all curly from being on the spool. I have a spare spool for all my reels so at the end of the season I just put on the spare spool and reel it up- that way I have fresh line on the fish end. The best part is that in the long run, it's actually cheaper than mono if you fish a lot. I was spooling my reels every 3 or 4 trips, usually due to "spool set" or other factors. I have Power Pro on a reel that been on there for 5 years! No problems at all, and still has 100% of listed strength. Try it some time- get a come-along, fish scale and test out you lines and knots. You will be surprised. ... show more

  • Great Line!
Color: Hi-Vis Yellow Size: 300YD/50LB Style: 0
Love the PP products. I fish mostly fresh water. I like med-light, fast - Xfast taper 6' poles. I usually fish 10 -12 lb PP. I fish a variety of Rapalas, big Os, Mepps and spoons (not much plastics or live bait for me). Therefore I do lots of casting. The PP works fine for me. First off, the product basically lasts FOREVER. I've never worn it out. Even after fishing it for a couple of years and the eventual cutting and shortening, I've simply tied a few strands together to fill out the spool. (no, I don't do it for all my rods as a rule, but I've DONE it and it works.) Use a blood knot or back to back clinches. The product has no memory and handles twisting pretty well(eventual trolling mishap). The product knots up nice and almost never pulls out. The product casts like a dream and accuracy is increased. It's also better at resisting wind drag(over same wt momo). The only issue I have consistently is "the dreaded loop". That's when upon reeling in, your reel leaves a loop sticking out(toward the top). The next cast rubs against the loop and eventually draws from beneath the spooled up line creating a colossal knot. I can't say if it's the product's fault or the reel. This phenomenon occurs with mono as well. It's just more expensive and time consuming when you're using braid. As I said, the product never wears out, so I usually try to undo the knot. I'm cheap! LOL. I have PP installed in a couple my surf rods and had pretty poor luck. I can't say why, but I've been using more mono as a result. ... show more

  • Great fishing line
Color: Moss Green Size: 150YD/40LB Style: Fishing Line
The line fits into my bait caster perfectly. It is stronger than traditional line and is well priced for what you are getting. I have had no problems with line fraying and is the highest quality line I have ever used. I would recommend.

  • Solid choice
Color: Moss Green Size: 150YD/15LB Style: Fishing Line
Hard for fish to see. Rips much more easily than I'd expect 10lb braided to tho. I've had 2 big fish snap it and I only fish freshwater banks. Very few if any fish over 10lbs where I live. And I don't power set or feel I do anything to overstress the line. I test my drag often. Don't get me wrong, it's good line, lots of fish stay on. But I'm just surprised I can rip it by hand still. ... show more

  • I've tried a bunch of different lines
Color: Hi-Vis Yellow Size: 1500YD/65LB Style: Fishing Line
I've tried a bunch of different lines, because the 250 & 500 yard spools of Power Pro were so expensive. I'd buy up lines when they were on discount and experiment with off brands. All of it in the 10 -50 pound test line range. From that experience, I chose to get the 65# 1500 yds spool. This line is round, seems consistent in diameter, doesn't stretch, wears better than all of the other braids I've tried and best of all it comes in yellow! So you know, there seems to be a lot of colors available with all of the different brands of braid. With Power Pro, I've tried green and yellow. With other's I've tried blue, yellow, red and green. All of these are done with dyes and blue turns white really fast, green and yellow also eventually turn white. The red line was just strung and I haven't fished it. I expect it will turn white. If you fsih over 50 days with any line, expect the terminal end to get white and get worn. Power Pro seems to hold its strength, as does Spider Wire, the off brands don't. If you tie on a fluoro leader and break off, my breakage happens at the terminal knot or the connecting knot to the braid. I usually fish with an equal or lower test pound fluoro leader than the braid. This enables you to fish 50 days without respooling. After 50 days of fishing, if you're cheap, spool another reel backwards with the worn line going on the new spool first and you can fish 100 days with the same line. I don't have much use for mono line any more. Braid coupled with fluorocarbon line fools trout and that's the most line shy fish I fish for during the course of a year. Old reels may require mono or fluoro to anchor the line. A yard or two of mono/fluoro is all you need. New reels seem to be braid ready. You'll know if your reel needs the mono/fluoro because it simply won't spool, or if you do happen to get it spooled, the first time there's any tension, the line will just spin on your spool. It will be maddening. I hope this helps. ... show more

Excellent fishing line. Been using this line almost 15 years and never had a problem. Read other reviews that talk about break offs, I've never had one in 15 years.
