this keyboard cover is really nice!! the blue ombre is super pretty and the darkest blue isn't as black as it seems in the picture. it's nice to have something protecting my keyboard. it also fits really well on the keyboard and is easy to type with. However, when i am typing essays for school i like to take it off so i can type a little faster. --- updated- i have had it for a year and a half now and i still love it. i am constantly pulling and messing with it absentmindedly so i am kind of amazed it has not stretched out or become misshapen. the color of the blues or the letters have not faded at all. at this point i am even more comfortable typing with it on than i am with it off. it is super easy to take off and put back on. my only drawback is that it tends to leave little smudges on my laptop screen (pictured), it isn't really worth cleaning it off since it will just come back the next time i close my laptop. this isn't a huge issue though because i don't even notice these smudges unless the screen is dark. HIGHLY recommend! it is so easy to clean, i am able to just take it off and wipe it with lysol or whatever is around and then rest assured that the germs are gone. fits like a glove too, i have also gotten a lot of compliments! people are always surprised when my keyboard is blue, even more surprised that it is a cover instead of just stickers/decals.

Even though I selected this skin for a new MAC Book Pro hubby bought me for mother's day, I had two apprehensions about this product. 1) I am weird about texture, and this looked weirdly textured. 2) I like to hear the clicks of my fingers hitting the keyboard (I know--but I'm old school, and additionally, hearing the clicks lulls me into the false security that I'm actually getting things accomplished). About the first concern, the texture is a little different, a sueded gel-like feel is the best description I can give. Regarding the second concern, I hear less clicking and have decided that it's not so bad. Logistically speaking, the skin is easy to apply. It literally lays right over the the keys, almost perfectly. I say almost perfectly, because there is the tiniest pucker right at the bottom of the keyboard, but it's fine. I'm not complaining. The skin removes just as easily as it applies, that is, you just lift up a corner and pull. That's it. I lift the keyboard skin often, as I am always getting crumbs and random debris in it, but this stuff has yet to penetrate to the actual keyboard. Lastly, about color. Yes, it says green, but I would have to say that the skin is more of an aqua to dark teal gradation. The bottom row ends in a teal-ish, forest green type color--if anyone orders this color expecting a true green, I don't want them to be surprised. I give the product five stars, because it does exactly what it was made to do, and it does it easily. It's easy to put on and just as easy to take off (if not easier). It keeps my keyboard clean, and it doesn't slow down my typing. I am pleased.

Don't get this if you want to type at night. At least for the color that I bought (the blue/pink ombre) it did not allow the backlight to shine through, so I found myself fumbling for the keys quite often while searching through Youtube videos. But do get it if you like things that look and feel nice, and if you want something that protects your keyboard from dust and debris. The gel is quite thick and muffles my typing a bit, which might be a problem for some who like the sharp and audible clicks the MBP produces but I find the 'thud-thud' produced by typing with keyboard skins more satisfying. For newer MBPs this isn't an issue, but my machine still has a slot for a disk and has an eject button rather than a power button on the top right. Not a huge issue, as I find the quality of the skin more important. So far, it's held up well. From heavy amounts of daily use for the two months I've had it, it's only started to warp slightly on my heavier use keys. The color, however, is still quite vibrant and hasn't faded just yet. The ombre effect, by the way, is gorgeous, and the color is thick enough that the black under the keys doesn't show. When I wear through this skin, I'd be happy to purchase it again. There are cheaper skins out there, but this one has held up nicer than the cheaper alternatives with the thinner silicone and paint.

I absolutely love this keyboard cover! It fits perfectly on my Mac, and not all the ones I get do, so I was very pleased. On top of that, the color is amazing. I got the blue ombré one, and it looks beautiful. It doesn’t even look like I have a keyboard cover on my laptop. This was definitely worth it. EDIT: I still love this cover very much, so just as a tip for everyone else- when it starts to get dirty and greasy to the point that it leaves marks on your screen, wash it using dish soap! I have to do this every few weeks or so to keep it clean and grease-free. All keyboard covers do this, so it’s unavoidable. Other than that, the color and fit remains perfect!

I need a new keyboard cover and was going back through my previous purchases. I first got an Allindside keyboard cover in 2018 and it was great. Fit well, stayed in place - wonderful. I changed districts to I had to buy a new one in 2020. I've had it for about a year and it's very worn. It has stretched to the point (evidently from how I type) that it really no longer fits and I regularly (many times a day) have to smooth it back out into place. Maybe I'm being too harsh for the cost of it - but knowing it's a keyboard cover and what it would be used for, I'd rather pay a little more and have something last. So wasteful to have to replace annually.

This keyboard skin is actually pretty impressive for the small price! The colors (I purchased the blue ombre color) is not very true to the picture as the darkest shade of blue is a lot lighter on the actual case. But it really isn't bad at all and still looks nice, just something that should be considered before buying it. The skin minimizes the sound of the clicking of the keyboard and this may bother some people, but I find it really handy as a college student typing notes and not wanting to disrupt my classmates. It's super easy to remove and clean and will definitely keep any unwanted junk from coming into my keyboard. PLEASE NOTE that this is NOT compatible with the MacBooks with the touch bar!
