    • Main screws are all crooked
I ordered 2 sets, 4 lights total only 2/4 had straight core pieces. The other 2 were super crooked which would make the light hang at an angle. I returned them and asked for replacement. My new ones ALSO are both crooked. I’m very sad as it seems to be an awesome light, but the angled hanging would drive me insane. So I’ll have to return all of them. As others said, they are a little laborious to put together so now I have the joy of taking my two apart :/ ... show more

I ordered these to replace our two vintage floral hallway/entry way light fixtures. These are similar to other fixtures in our house which is what drew me to these. The fact that it is a 2 pack was perfect. These comes disassembled so be prepared to take a little bit of time to put them together. It is not complicated and it comes with a schematic drawing to show you how to do it. My 5 year old helped put it together so it is not difficult, just take your time. They do come packaged well to protect the painted finish and even has some spare screws and cap nuts. This comes in handy if you lose one or if one gets stripped. Installation went fairly well for the most part. They come with wire nuts, but I would suggest using better ones. I had one strip out on me pretty easily. If you are used to white and black wires to differentiate between neutral and hot wires, you may be confused on which one is which. The fixture wires are the same color BUT if you look closely, one wire has a smooth casing and the other has a ribbed casing. The ribbed side is neutral (white) the smooth side is hot (black/red). I wish the dropdown/connection screws were longer. They worked but there were just long enough, longer screws would allow for more adjustment. I also wish the cover over the junction box was an inch bigger in diameter. I just barely covers the box in my 1950's constructed house. Overall they look great when put together and installed. They light up the area great! I am using a (3) 40W equivalent LED bulbs in the picture. I put 60W equivalent in the other one, but will change to 40W equivalent because it is too bright for the area it is in. I took away one star due to the price point. I feel like it is priced a little high ($70 at time of review) but I am also pretty frugal. Overall, they look good and light the area great. I'm all domed out because I've had dome lights in every house I ever lived in so this is a nice change of pace from that tired, typical look. They really stand out versus old domes or the newer flat led lights. I brought my pair in black and you definitely need to consider how it changes the looks and matches the room because they stand out. Installation was easy, but to be fair I've installed a million of these lights over the years. The only issue might be hooking up the wires because, for some odd reason, they are the same color. I've seen this in other light fixtures recently and I can't think of the reason for the life of me. Maybe, other countries use nonstandard black and white for the hot and neutral wires possibly. You can tell the difference by the textured outside of the wire. 7/10 I would recommend them. I hope this review is helpful. ... show more

Nice ceiling light. Sure beats those dome lights you see all the time. We used one of the lights in our foyer which brightened the area. Since the bulbs are exposed, looking into or up at the light is a bit blinding. The bulbs we found stick out a bit, so probably need to replace. The fixture appears high quality, but doesn’t look expensive if that makes any sense. The matte of the black is smooth, no texture. Getting 2 fixtures for the price isn’t bad. High quality fixtures for one light are much more expensive. Install instructions left us questioning were to connect the ground wire, which is pretty big for installing electrical. Install is a one person job. With the circular structure, assembly took some patience with the screws falling into place. These would look nice in a bar or restaurant.
