To the person who couldn't get the background to stick: You don't put the background on the inside. It goes on the OUTSIDE. Had you read the instructions you would have known that. So......lay the paper down on a flat surface with the picture side up. Wet the entire picture side well with a very wet cloth. Then attach the wet side/picture side to the OUTSIDE back of the tank and smooth it out. Check that edges are even with the top, bottom, and sides. Voila! All fixed. Simple to do. If it ever comes off, do it again. Mine has been working great and looks wonderful. P.S. To the people who find that their fish quit swimming, add more liquid detergent. You may have to do this off and on. Works like a charm. And by liquid detergent I mean hand dishwashing detergent.....not laundry detergent. Good luck. One year later, my motor quit working. ... show more

    • Better than a "real" tank!
Yes, you can tell that this is not a take that contains live fish, BUT, it does look great! The size is perfect for a bedroom or living room. The quality is great and doesn't look cheap in my opinion. You can change the light colors easily and best of all, it doesn't need to be cleaned as often as a tank with real fish! It's so quiet, the only noise I hear is the occasional click of a fish bumping the inside of the tank. When the pump is off, the fish just float at the top, but as soon as you turn it on, the current is what floats the fish around. ... show more

    • Don’t buy! I tried to return !!
First you must turn this on every 4 hours even though it’s electric because the motor weakens quickly and I’ve had to remove the turtles and bigger fish because the motor can’t push thrm around anymore so they all clump up at the bottom and can’t move. I reached out to company to return because I had bought 2 of them and The only response that I got was, “we have confirmed that you bought an authentic product.” I wasn’t asking if I bought an authentic product I was asking for a return since that would be $160 wasted! I have this in my office and it has become a joke because my fake fish are all dying and I have to remove them so I give it one star for the potential And a little bit of chuckles, but soon to be garbage since I’m down to three fish that the motor can push! ... show more

    • Pleasant scene works well
I have had this tank for a while and it works very well. Nice lighting, nice movement of the fish (realistic) seems to have a calming effect on my handicapped child.

The bottom of the tank was cracked. The box was not damaged. I had to fix the crack, but other than that it’s kinda neat. It’s definitely overpriced for what you get, however. Very cheaply made

Mine turns off automatically. Tried contacting the company with out any respond. Also, it mentions that it bubbles. Again another problem! Although it looks lovely, for the price I expect the seller to answer my complaints. Another review states it also shut off automatically. Problem or not, the buyer should be aware and stated in the instructions. ... show more

I bought one that was previously opened to save a little money as this is an expensive item. I think it’s priced too high for what it is. but, I got it to entertain my kittens and it has not disappointed. My kitties love it! Little tip - after setting it up and waiting a bit, use a tall straw or something to run along the sides to knockoff air bubbles. The fish will swim much better if you do that. ... show more
