To the person who couldn't get the background to stick: You don't put the background on the inside. It goes on the OUTSIDE. Had you read the instructions you would have known that. So......lay the paper down on a flat surface with the picture side up. Wet the entire picture side well with a very wet cloth. Then attach the wet side/picture side to the OUTSIDE back of the tank and smooth it out. Check that edges are even with the top, bottom, and sides. Voila! All fixed. Simple to do. If it ever comes off, do it again. Mine has been working great and looks wonderful. P.S. To the people who find that their fish quit swimming, add more liquid detergent. You may have to do this off and on. Works like a charm. And by liquid detergent I mean hand dishwashing detergent.....not laundry detergent. Good luck. One year later, my motor quit working. ... show more

    • Better than a "real" tank!
Yes, you can tell that this is not a take that contains live fish, BUT, it does look great! The size is perfect for a bedroom or living room. The quality is great and doesn't look cheap in my opinion. You can change the light colors easily and best of all, it doesn't need to be cleaned as often as a tank with real fish! It's so quiet, the only noise I hear is the occasional click of a fish bumping the inside of the tank. When the pump is off, the fish just float at the top, but as soon as you turn it on, the current is what floats the fish around. ... show more

    • No way did the background picture stick
Took 2 adults to try to get background to stick to inside of tank. Ended up taping to outside of tank. Also the fish look real and cute WHEN they all decide to swim, but have a tendency to bunch up on the bottom. Colored lights are good. NOT WORTH THE $75.

I bought one that was previously opened to save a little money as this is an expensive item. I think it’s priced too high for what it is. but, I got it to entertain my kittens and it has not disappointed. My kitties love it! Little tip - after setting it up and waiting a bit, use a tall straw or something to run along the sides to knockoff air bubbles. The fish will swim much better if you do that. ... show more

We ordered this aquarium in Jan 2024 for our elementary school lobby. In September it stopped working. Contacted the company and they were very quick to respond and offered to ship a replacement aquarium. Very satisfied with their customer service and willingness to help! Our kids think it is the coolest thing ever and the best part its no need to feed them! While they are slightly more noisy than I would have thought when they bang against the walls it is still fun for the kids and the best option I have seen out there.
