Let's get one thing clear: this is in no way, shape, or form to be considered as "sound proofing." The product does explicitly use the word "soundproof" in the title and several points in the description, but I want to make it clear that if you're expecting to suddenly not hear any noise while you're in the booth, you'll be disappointed. That said, I specifically got this to reduce the amount of echo/reverb picked up by my mic while recording voiceover in my bedroom. Yes, I could record in my closet like every other aspiring voice actor, but I had hoped that this booth could be set up in such a way that it could encapsulate my computer workstation when needed, and quickly set aside when done. For the most part, that was indeed possible. However, I've had the means and opportunity to build my own PVC booth to a specific size that already does what I needed, and accomplished it at a fraction of the cost of this booth. The only downside of my custom solution was that it took forever to set up and tear back down. It worked just as well as this product, so basically I'm paying for the added convenience of portability and ease of use. I'm not sure if that was worth it in the end. Especially considering the brand boasts about the special technology used in the blankets (thickened eco cotton), I was slightly disappointed that my moving blankets from Harbor Freight seemed to do the job just as well.
