Since I'm a professional caddie, when I get to play on rare occasions, I often take a power cart. (Walking 60 miles a week is more than enough exercise, right?). Since many newer electric golf carts feature a USB charging port, I will occasionally use a golf GPS app on my phone to supplement my GPS watch. It's easier to see the entire hole, and check yardage to hazards with a larger phone screen. I've used this magnetic phone holder twice, and it worked very well. My phone stayed in place even when my golf partner drove over some bone-shaking obstacles, and there was no problem running a charging cord from the phone to the USB outlet. The holder itself seems well-made and sturdy.

The package arrived in good condition and contents new as described. The phone bracket itself is a good design, it expands and locks and will fit almost any phone on the market these days. The problem came up with trying to attach the magnet base to the phone bracket. The instructions say to remove the nut, feed the ball of the magnet through then press it into the retaining area on the bracket. This works fine until you try to thread the nut back on. It wont fit over the threads as the ball from the magnet mount expands the threaded area too far. I even tried ever so slightly threading the nut on then pressing the magnet in, no go. I was only able to thread it on just enough to start it cross-threading, which if I kept going would end up stripping out the nut or the threads. So for this issue, the is not a very good mount.

Seeing as how there are so many of these out there, I couldn't see going with the magnet type over a clamp type of mount. I have both, and prefer the clamp style since we all know how lumpy and bumpy some courses can be, especially after a few drinks! This specific one did OK on the thicker rail carts, but I tried it on an older cart at a local 9 hole course and it flew off a few times due to thinner rails. Seeing as how you can get a good clamp one for cheaper, I don't see why you'd go with this.

My husband has a new golf ap and loves how this cell phone holder is so easy to use and how well it holds the phone, even when going over some rough patches on the golf course. It adjusts to accommodate a variety of sizes of phones and really has a tight hold on the golf cart.

This phone holder worked well on the course and it fit my larger Galaxy Note 10+. The magnet was strong, only slipping slightly when the cart went over some pretty rough terrain. The rub I had is that the securing ring was difficult to thread back on once the ball was inserted into the socket. It was like the ball almost expanded the socket too much for the ring to re-thread. I finally got it back on, but it was a bit of a chore. Luckily this is a one-time chore. The phone clamping mechanism worked well and held my phone securely. It's nice to have my phone (GPS app. and music) at eye level. Good product!

The Magnetic holder arrived in 3 days, was well packaged, and undamaged. We have owned several golf carts in the past, but we do not now. I thought this would work for our Side by Side and I was right! My husband found a place to mount the iphone holder and it works well. The magnets are strong and keep the holder steady.
