I purchased this black awning to replace a worn out multi colored awning. My awning is a motor driven Dometic brand with an easy to remove motor on the right side of the roller tube. The black awning has a white bottom that faces the ground which is not obvious from their picture. The stitching on the fabric was heavy thread and straight. The awning fabric comes with some illustrated install instructions for a manual pull down type awning. There is more than one way to install this awning but I removed the roller and installed it on the ground which was much easier than standing on ladders trying to slide the fabric down the 17ft roller tube. I blocked the tension spring on the rollers left side and removed the whole 17ft roller which made sliding out the old awning fabric and installing the new awning fabric much easier by placing it on two long folding tables. The new fabric was heavier duty than the original factory awning. It comes shipped folded in a square and fairly small box which added a lot of folding marks which went away as soon as the sun came out after it was installed. The black fabric completely blocks the sun. The fabric uses heavy duty plastic guild wires that slide down the tube holding the fabric to the roller. The install required three men and two ladders to take down the awning and two people to feed the fabric into the guild rails on the awning roller. The roller tube is heavy when the fabric is installed. I give this awning 5 stars and would buy this brand of awning again when this one wears out from the sun. One more thing you will need a rivet gun and some ½ inch rivets to reattach the motor end cap on the roller once the new fabric is installed.

Overall this is a great awning, I purchased it for the white color as my old black awning was simply too hot on a sunny day. This was flexible and easy to install, wasn't too tight in the channels and my only down side is that it is still on the wrinkly side even after being hung to flatten out before installation. Perhaps it will flatten eventually. The valence is a bit shorter than my old Dometic awning, about 7" instead of 9"

Ordered replacement awning (white) fabric for my 2011 Jayco Octane. The original was finally due for replacement. Fabric looks good. Appears to be quality. Double stitched on the edges. My only complaint is instead of 9' 2", it was 9' 1". Also the material on the roller tube between the awning groove and the valance groove was a bit long, so it bunched up a bit. Not a big deal, but pointing it out. I would purchase again. Good value.

This was a great purchase . Very pleased with this for the price . Looks great ! Fairly easy to install . It was about 6 ‘’ short in length and width from the OEM canapy but this was not a game changer for us as the fit is just fine . It went on sale for 89$ which was a great bonus . We love the black on black . It does take two people to install and so I was able to help my husband just fine . We watched a YouTube video and it explained it very well and we did it the most simple way and did not take the motor off .

We had a tree limb come down on our awning and I had to do a little patch work. After I saw the price of this, I figured lets give it a shot. My wife and 9 year old daughter helped with the install and it went very smooth. The only trouble spot we ran into is the corner of the existing track is a little sharp and can easily dig into the fabric. Take your time when rethreading it through. The fabric and vinyl coating are thick enough that it won't tear, but you still need to watch and be cautious. The all black looks fantastic. It is a couple inches shorter than the old one, but I am wondering if it will stretch/de-wrinkle over time. I will watch and move the chord if it does. Very pleased with the end results.
