The media could not be loaded. This gun safe is a lifesaver—literally and figuratively. The sleek design and fast, fingerprint-based access initially had me a bit skeptical, especially when my fingerprint wouldn’t register. After a bit of a tussle and setting it up from multiple angles (yes, my finger had to audition several times), it finally recognized me, and the magic happened. Beyond its high-tech allure, this safe delivers where it counts. As a single mom, I’m constantly juggling safety and accessibility. With this safe parked right next to my bed, I sleep easier knowing that my firearm is secure from little hands while still being within arm’s reach when I need it most. works as advertised. make sure you anchor this down. if not you can walk away with it. not an heavy sage. so far fingerprint reader is great. no issues. but this is not water or fireproof safe. not a heavy duty safe. It's good to access things quickly. good space inside. lock works great. for what i need it for its' great.

I'd say it's decent value for money, but as others have noted, it's more of a sturdy, fancy lockbox than a real safe. Unless you weigh it down with gold bars, it's going to be easy to pick up and walk off with it. The floor plate has openings for four bolts (included) but oddly the back of the safe has only two. I mounted it on a shelf and bolted it into the wall, but I have no doubt that a determined thief with a pry bar could dislodge it in just a minute or two. The manual is the usual Chinglish, and barely adequate. Some of the illustrations are out of sequence (you see image E before you find, on the next page, image D). Because of the poor writing, it's a little frustrating to get it all to work, but with repeated effort and a modicum of patience it's certainly doable. Some users report not being able to figure out how to program multiple fingerprints (the manual is schtumm on this). I think they wrongly assume that programming a new fingerprint will delete the previous one. In reality, you can just repeat the procedure. Between myself and my wife, we have six fingerprints programmed in, and they all work well. The safe unlocks in about a second once you place and keep your thumb or finger on the sensor. The keypad is more limited than we'd have liked. Digits are from 1 through 7, which meant that our first five or six choices for a code were not possible as they all included an 8, 9, or 0. But we figured out a good one in the end that we can both remember. It's clever that there's a way to revive the electronics if the four AA batteries die: by plugging in a USB-C cable and a powerbank (there's a USB port on the underside of the front panel). This won't charge the batteries but it'll restore access to the safe so you can replace them. Pressing any number key will show how much juice the batteries have left, via a three-segment indicator light. Pressing and holding the 1 key toggles the beep on and off. The LED light that automatically illuminates the interior when you open the safe is a nice touch. For 150 bucks, this was a worthwhile purchase.

Wanting to consolidate two safes and the XDeer looked to be just the right size. Safe has a bit of heft to it and set up was a breeze. I like the keypad, key or USB power options. Batteries go dead and you can't find a key, connect a USB battery pack and you're in business. Spacious interior and the gun rack is removeable (mounted under the shelf) to free up space. I would have liked to have seen the shelf being adjustable but it's not a deal breaker. Same with the keypad not being backlit. I'm sure with use, the combination pattern will become instinctive. All in all, a good safe and I'm pleased with the purchase.

My wife and I are so satisfied that we bought this particular safe. This safe has all the bells and whistles that high-end safes offer for a great price. The exterior looks and feels durable. It is a solid safe for handguns and other special items but not too heavy to lift.
