The waterfall is very loud, and not relaxing. Additionally, the water doesn't completely cov e the mirror like in the photo. It sounds like the cheap $25 waterfall countertop fountains I had, except being 50x the price!

Having dealt with many fountains in the past, which tended to leak, dry up, not flow right, etc., I was looking for simplicity, sturdiness, and most importantly durability. This fountain is made of welded stainless steel, has a hefty pump that is ultra-quiet, and immediately adds character to anywhere you put it. It comes with a cleaning kit which you will immediately have to use to get the water flowing across the entire surface (hint: it's the GREEN SPONGE). There hasn't been a single drop of water on the floor since it began running, and it's cleaned the air around it considerably. Taking off one star as there's no way to measure the water level and there's a hole in the back where water could come out if you overfill it, which is probably not the best way to find out whether it has enough water. Upgraded version should definitely at least have a port where you can see if the water level is above the pump. Overall, one of the best purchases of the year so far :-) ... show more
