I'd like to state that I bought this refurbished console DIRECTLY FROM AMAMZON, NOT ANOTHER SELLER, and by looking through the reviews I'd suggest against buying from other sellers since you're not likely to get exactly what the product page says (such as second controller, HDD, ect.) and it's a higher possibility to get the RRoD since they could be selling the older consoles. Now on to my review. Upon receiving the console I noticed it came in a special box that looks like a Xbox 360 Pro with the words "Go Pro" on the box, but what was different was that it said "Refurbished" in three different languages on the top and on the side of the box it said it's refurbished to original specifications and may contain small cosmetic imperfections. The box also contained two stickers, one saying that it contained two wireless controllers and another stating that the console tray color may be white or chrome. So, the refurbished console is actually a console that was refurbished by Microsoft themselves, not anyone else, so you know that it'll have the one year warranty like with any new console. When I opened the box it came with all the instruction manuals, two wireless controllers, the console with the 20 GB HDD attached and "refurbished" sticker, wired headset, hybrid video cable with both component (R/G/B) and composite (Yellow) video cables, Ethernet cable and the vented power brick with the power cable. Also the console that I received was actually a Xbox 360 Arcade (with a white disc tray) with a 20 GB HDD, but that doesn't really matter as it also includes the 512 MB of internal memory (seen as a memory unit by the 360), which means more memory in total. The only cosmetic imperfection I noticed was the small scratch on the HDD, but other than that everything seems brand new. When I started the 360 it guided me through the initial setup and everything and everything worked great. What really surprised me was that the update to run original Xbox games was already included in the system so I was able to play my copy of Blinx: The Time Sweeper without even updating. If you want an Xbox 360 for a very cheap price and don't want to save up for the Xbox 360 Slim then this is the best choice for you! Also for those who are hesitant, picture this, you buy a new Xbox 360 Arcade for $199.99, but you don't get the Hard Drive, extra controller, headset or the component cables, and if you did buy that separately it'd cost almost the amount for a new Xbox 360 Elite, and that still doesn't come with the extra controller. With this you're getting a great deal! Also I took a lot of detailed pictures and uploaded them as customer images, but for some reason they appear to be combined with the other XBox 360 customer images and aren't accessible from the product pages. I'm not sure if it's a glitch or not but I hope Amazon fixes it. I purchased this setup from amazon, not a third party seller. Let me start by saying that this is a refurbished console by MICROSOFT, meaning that it comes with a one year warranty similar to buying a brand new system. When I got my package (with standard shipping it took 2 days!!) in the mail, everything was packaged very very nicely like I was buying a BRAND NEW system. The console itself looks brand new, NO SCRATCHES, NOTHING like that, it doesn't smell like cigarettes, and it works GREAT!!!! And YES it is a Jasper chipset, And YES it comes with HDMI port on the back. It comes with 2 BRAND NEW wireless controllers (they are NOT refurbished), 4 duracell batteries, HD component cables(NEW not refurbished), The new and improved power brick (brand new), and a brand new xbox live wired headset. The only things that came with this refurbished bundle that aren't brand new would be the console, and the 20 GB hard drive. Both of these things have stickers on them that read "refurbished". But seriously you can't even tell they aren't brand new! And you can tell everything else is brand new by the way it looks, and the stickers on the controllers etc. Seriously though, you won't be sorry that you bought this package! I will admit, at first I wasn't too thrilled with buying electronics that have been refurbished, as I would NEVER buy a gamestop refurbished unit! But this has been refurbished by MICROSOFT, so you know it has been repaired by the best, and in the process, they install the new jasper chip, which if you don't already know, makes the CPU run quieter and cooler, and supposedly prevents the dreaded red ring of death issue. Also you can see in the pictures that the console is an old pro unit by the chrome disk tray, but my console that came was an old arcade unit, because it has the all white disc tray..... But wrapping this up, im EXTREMELY happy with my purchase, It is such a better choice to get this rather than a brand new arcade system which is the same price, and I was EXTREMELY satisfied with amazon.com!!! I ordered this bundle, as well as NBA 2K10 on a Saturday night, and it shipped out on Monday morning, and it literally got to my house Tuesday early afternoon!!! If your thinking about getting this, DO IT YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it has been "generally" fine, with light use, over the last 2 weeks. I did notice a couple of things wrong with it though (so far). There's apparently some false information. The item is described as coming with 2 wireless controllers and being compatible with the original Xbox games. When I first received this bundle, I noticed it only contained one wireless controller. I contacted the seller, who told me that it only came with 1 wireless controller. Amazon.com's info was wrong, he said, and he had tried to email them to get that misleading bit of information removed. He was good enough to send me out another wireless controller though. I asked him about the warranty and he said there was only a "1 month warranty" vs. a "1 year warranty" - that has been claimed in other reviews. A headache came in the form of the hard drive missing a partition that has a software emulator on it, so you can play some original xbox games. I noticed this when trying to play some compatible old Xbox games. I called up Xbox support and they said there must be something wrong with the console. There was no partition 2 on the included hard drive. I had to go through the process of voiding the warranty and figuring out how to put that partition on the drive, along with the emulator. I was successful, but it took awhile for it to work right. Other thoughts - looks good cosmetically and runs fine, so far. No HDMI :( but it wasn't advertised, so I'm not complaining too much. It would be nice though.

not only did i get informed by the add that it came with a 20GB hard drive, but that it came also with a wireless controler. when i recived it there was no hard drive, no controler, it also stated it was like new, refurbished and in great condition and worked great. it is broken the front piece little flap that lets you put mini usb's and so on in it, broken off completly and shoved down inside stuck in there and it does not work at all actually, nothing past the 360 logo when turned on will work, i spent money on an item i was told i would get that was in great condition, and worked great, neither of which are a factor. i am beyond upset, and even more disappointed. i will go somewhere else before ever going here again. because i wont get my money back, i wont get what i paid for, and to wait another 8 to 12 days, not really in the mood for

It is only one month since I received my refurbished Xbox unit, but I have noticed no lags, no overheating and no video issues. The unit came complete with all the necessary paperwork, packaged as though it were brand new. There were no dents, scuffs or scratches. The main system is heavy and although it can be stood on end, I do not recommend doing so as it can be tipped easily by a pet or child. Set-up was easy and fast and I did not even consult the paperwork. I have not (yet!) chosen to purchase a wired or wireless internet adapter. I merely shut down my computer, disconnect the ethernet cable between my computer tower and my wireless modem and insert the Xbox ethernet cable into the modem and restart. Yes, it is slightly annoying, but I only go online once a week to shop for games as I am not into MMPGs (Massive Multi-Player Games). The unit starts up and shuts down quickly with fast navigation. The controllers are not as comfortable to me as Nintendo's and I wind up holding the controller loosely by my side and at an angle of approximately 30° in my right hand. This tilt does not affect gameplay or navigation at all. The wireless controllers allow me to sit fifteen back, change my position and play for hours without fatigue. My only caveat is the controllers may be too fast and I have not found a way to adjust this feature - this is similar to adjusting the speed of a computer's mouse movement. So far, a worthwhile and affordable system with hundreds of games available to suit every family member. Oh, and I had chosen the "Shipping Shipping Saver" option which is approximately 5 to 9 days and the system arrived within a week.

*NOTE AGAIN THAT THIS WAS PURCHASED FROM AMAZON, NOT ANOTHER SELLER* A checklist that should tell you exactly why you want this. -This is a Microsoft refurbished console. That means it will be in 360 packaging with resealed cords, controllers, and headset (I'm tempted to say that my headset was brand new, and maybe even my cords, but I don't want to claim that without knowing. Regardless. There is something nice about not opening a clamshell sealed 360 that smells like lung cancer.) The condition is pristine. NO dirt or smudges. One sticker on the bottom that says refurbished. Mine left a bit of sticky when I took it off. Nail polish remover will get it off without pain if you are worried about that. -It will come with the new power-brick that is vented, it also has the new Jasper chip. This means: Even though you are getting a refurbished console, it is technically more sound than a brand new 20 gig from Microsoft's original batches. Rest easy my friend. This console was not made to break. It's like it got a tune up. These two features paired together will fight overheating and RED RING OF DEATH. -It does have HD -Mine came with 2 controllers, which at the time wasn't advertised (so it was a nice surprise). Cross your fingers about that if it's not openly included. -If you don't already know, because it has a hard drive you will be able to connect to Xboxlive out of the box, though for online play I would recommend buying a 12 month live subscription. You can easily find them online for 35ish dollars. If you pay more you didn't look hard enough. :) Hope this helps in your decision. As for my console it runs like a charm, for long periods (when I say this I mean as I waste my whole day away) without any heat at all- and I can really tell the difference because I had a 60gig a few years back- the difference is black and white as far as heat output. I took it on a road-trip (to update it back home) for over 30 hours in total in a backpack that I threw around (gingerly) as I used the bag day to day. Came back home and it was still fine. DO IT. DO IT. DO IT NOW. Happy Buying

I've recently purchased this as a cheap entry into XBOX. I was hoping to get a Jasper chip, but I did not (I got a refurbished Falcon). However, I had no problem whatsoever with overheating: after a long demanding gaming session the console feels just warm and seems to be clearing hot air ok. We'll see. The DVD reader though is NOISY! But since this unit comes with a hard drive, you can just dump your game in and play there. This refurb console seems to be dropping in price fast, since the launch of the slim X360 and Kinectic, so it is a bargain. It also comes with HDMI port and TWO wireless controllers, off the box. Great for having a brother or friend over! All peripherals seem new, and the console itself looks and feels new, no smudges, no scratches at all. All in all, a great console that, for the time being, is giving me no problems
