  • Xbox 360 & MW3 all the Killinz you could want...
I haven't had a console since PS1...yeah it's been that long. My friends all have Xbox 360's and tons of other consoles and claim praise for them all. I wasn't sure which console to get for the most part. I read some reviews and liked what the Xbox offered, so I decided to give it a try. I am a PC gamer, so I love good graphics, and the Xbox is right up there. The ease of using it is amazing, and there is a tutorial for everything if you really need it. Controller is a bit daunting if you haven't played console games for a while, but just like anything else, you learn all the buttons pretty quickly when you are playing it. It becomes second nature in a fast paced game like MW3 (more below) Now on to the game. I have heard of the Call of Duty games, watches some people play Black Ops, but never have played myself. Lets just say throwing the rabbit to the wolves. I was awful. I am still not that good. But man is it fun to play! May I suggest trying the story line first, and the missions so you can learn the controller a little before you go try the Xbox live player vs player. (if you haven't played before) You will die so many times it's not funny. Some players have been doing this in all of the COD games, and are masters at it. That's not the case for me, and I am sure it shows to the other players. But that's ok, I am slowly getting better! Game play is smooth, the graphics are great, and the custom classes (prefer pistols? you can fight with those!, Rocket launchers? no problem!) make it so you can tailor it to your style of play. There are plenty of maps so the scenery doesn't get old, and the situation changes so much from game to game its amazing! (I did really well on one campaign, and the next I must have been tossed in with a bunch of seasoned vets, because I got WORKED) A lot of shooters that are one dimensional, this is more like a shooter's RPG. You earn experience as you go, for yourself and your weapons, which in turn makes you more proficient at using them (aka more damage with them, more items you can put on them like silencers, scopes etc) and then as you go, you unlock more weapons to use! There are also call signs you can use, different camo for your gun, the possibilities are amazing. I don't want to ramble all day and make this a 10 page review...but if you are on the fence about this Xbox, jump down, grab the credit card, and get this already! It's a ton of fun, you get the biggest HD (at the time) offered by Xbox, and the custom paint and sounds on the Xbox (it makes MW3 sounds when you turn it on and open the disc tray) are pretty cool too! You also get 2 wireless controllers, and a headset to get you right in the action! Not to mention all the other things you can do with your Xbox (Netflicks, Facebook, Movies, Music.....) (Just a note about my ratings, I took away 1 star on fun, because if you are new to the COD games, it can be frustrating getting killed over and over until you start to get the hang of it. Luckily I took breaks, and realized it was just a game. Once you get the hang of it though, it is a 5/5 stars in the fun department) ... show more

  • Depends what your into
The first thing you should know is if you paid over $400 for this you got ripped off. 320gb is a lot, most people never use that much. If you are a big fan of call of duty and want to play and download all the games look no further. If you have no idea what to get I would go to best buy first. This is a really fun Xbox, it makes cool sound when you turn it on and off, and pull in and out the disk. If you want to impress your friends this is a good way to do it. The custome paint on the Xbox and remotes is very well done. The only few things you should know Is they might pack it into a small box and sqeeze it to tight. The first 2 days I got a bad squeak in one of the remotes but went away, if this happens to you and if it doesn't go away in 1 day return it fast. ... show more

  • OnlineOrderAddict
I recently purchased this gaming console for my seven year old son. We have the regular edition of x-box but thought this would be kool being he loves the MW3 game so much. The style is great. Works great. I like the fact that it comes with two controls and a head set as well as the game. For the price it's excellent. I only gave this four starts though because it is very misleading when it says that it comes with a month of free online. Yes, you get a month of free live but not for MW3. What kind of sense does that make when you are purchasing thev MW3 console???? What is he going to do sit at the dashboard and talk to people without a game? We have a phone for that. Otherwise great product for the price. ... show more

  • Broken Controller, Bent Cord, Console Shut Off
Will be returning this product. The game started up fine but the controller it came with, came broken. The prong for the cord was bent. The xbox itself shut off after being on for at least 10 minutes. I decided to go ahead and play the game to make sure it worked, it does. But again, the console shut off. It's awesome looking and great for a display but alas, $200 is not worth something I can't spend time using. ... show more

  • Best Deal if need a new Xbox
This is actually the best the deal around if your looking at buying a new Xbox or replacing an old one. For me it was the latter, I had an original launch Xbox pro that came with a 20gb HD. Back then 6 years ago it was enough space. Come 6 years later, no more space. You really can't beat this deal because of the 2 controllers and also MW3 game. The 2 controllers you get with this game are the special edition controllers that have the new twist up and twist down D pad. If your not sure what I mean type in Xbox 360 controller special edition and you'll see that these controllers are different then the normal 360 controllers and also more expensive. The 320gb hard drive is more then enough space for previous games, movies and music. The Xbox S is pretty cool looking and extremely quiet, I can't believe how loud the original Xbox is compared to the new S version. Also I wanted a newer Xbox with the HDMI port. I was using the component cables which gave me HD, but I can tell a slight difference that the games look a little smoother with the HDMI. Not much, but a little difference. Overall $400 dollars is a lot for a new late generation console. I got this when Amazon was offering a $50 gift card, that's what really sealed the deal for me. But for the price, MW3 is $60 alone, each of the new SE controllers cost $50 each and including the bigger Hard Drive. 250gb vs 320gb is not really that much but hey I'll take it. I will say I probably would've bought the Holiday bundle if I didn't have Fable and Halo Reach already. But if you don't have those games, it's pretty much a toss up then. FYI, the Kinect played no difference to me as I already had bought it for the stand alone Xbox. ... show more
