This item was one of my cozy go tos for the cooler months. It was hard to give up the ambiance it created when the seasons changed. I appreciated it keeping our living room warm. It was a bit tough on our light bill though. We don't have central heat and air in our home. Our bill typically runs between 170 during summer months with the window air running but our bill jumped to 280 in the winter using electric heaters. We are looking to install natural gas but in a pinch this item works well and is a beautiful addition for setting a cozy atmosphere. It fit the existing fireplace opening as I expected but the 4 color choices leaves a lot to be desired. The yellow seems to be the most authentic. The others are useless in my opinion. However, customer service was superior when they became aware of my concern.
