  • Excellent Gaming Experience, especially if you have a PC
There are a million of these reviews, so I'll keep mine short and sweet. I've owned Sony products and Playstation ONLY since the PS1. However, I was not a fan of the ps4, so I built a computer. The Xbox One is an exceptional companion to a gaming PC, especially if you travel often. Play Anywhere is a fantastic idea that allows you to pick up your favorite games, and your progress, exactly where you left off. I love racing, and after several disappointing Gran Turismo games, I turned to Forza and was blown away. The software experience is exceptional, it blows away the PS4. The only thing that Sony wins for me with no dispute is their controllers. The lights that sync with the game, the little speakers on the controllers, the analog stick feel... all superior to the Xbox. Overall, especially with a gaming PC as a companion, I highly recommend the Xbox One S, even over the Xbox One X (you're getting the same games, just slightly less impressive graphics which you get on your pc anyway). For a price of around $200, I highly recommend it. ... show more

  • The Xbox One S is Incredible!!!
I absolutely love the Xbox One S!!! When the Xbox One was released I was a little disappointed about it's massive size and the fact that it only came in black. But I have to say, the brand new sleek, slim white body on the S model is stunningly beautiful! The console is surrounded on all sides by vents to keep the device cool, and I haven't had a single issue with overheating. In fact, the device has managed to stay cool even after it has been on for multiple hours. Along with the incredible build quality of the Xbox One S, the console is also incredibly powerful! Gaming on this device is absolutely beautiful. With stunning graphics and high frame rates, game play stays smooth and gorgeous. Another feature of the Xbox One S that I must include is the ability to play Bluray movies in an incredible 4k resolution! Even if you don't have a 4k TV or monitor, you will still receive the highest possible resolution your TV can produce. I am absolutely in love with the Xbox One S, and I think you will be too!! ... show more

  • Great upgrade to go with a 4K television
Picked up this guy for its 4K ability and HDR. I already own two other Xboxes, but recently upgraded my television to a 4K and wanted to take advantage of its capabilities. Really impressed with how small the One S is compared to the behemoth of a console the launch console is. The fact that there is no longer an unsightly power brick I have to hide also makes this worth the price. The upgraded controller is nice as well, as I have yet to see any control drop off as both of my other xboxes have occur from time to time. Losing the Kinect is marginal, as I really only used it for voice control however it listened about as good as my five year old does. Having said that, Kinect use is still available through an add on cable that I may or may not acquire in the future. All in all, this console is a perfect upgrade while I wait for Project Scorpio. If you happen to have a 4K tv and want to take advantage of it, I highly recommend the purchase. ... show more

  • Very Pleased!
I am so happy with this. I didn't get the Xbox One when it released last year because I wanted to wait for it to become more affordable and especially for the games on it to become more affordable. Boy, am I glad I waited! The new Xbox One S is smaller than the Xbox One and has some nice features. Besides that, I bought this baby as a great Cyber Monday bundle! Got the console, Battlefield, and a 3-month Xbox Live subscription for $212.50, making the console and Battlefield under $200. Connected this right to my Xbox Live account and got to work downloading all the games I bought for it on the Xbox Store. Took forever to update when I was first setting it up and games took a long time to download but it was worth it. The graphics are better than Xbox 360 which is, of course, great. What's also nice is if one person using the console has Xbox Live, everyone using the console has Xbox Live (while playing on that console). Some people are questioning if 500GB is enough. Umm, yeah, it's plenty, actually. I am getting a 5TB external hard drive just for future use but I've already downloaded plenty of games and haven't even used 5% of my storage. You'll save even more storage space if you buy discs instead of downloading games to the console. The Home screen is way different from Xbox 360 so it's pretty disorienting at first. My one big complaint is you can't even look at your achievements if you'renot connected to the internet. Otherwise, this is fantastic. Very pleased! ... show more
