This item was insanely cheap. I used it once and upon trying to close the blade it fell apart. I forgot to take a picture. Immediately returned. Not worth it. I ended up getting one with a handle but even just using a blade alone would be a better idea than ordering this junk. Don’t waste your time.

I wanted these to work great as I bake a lot of sourdough bread that needs to be scored before baking, but these were just okay. My regular lame with a thin razor blade attached works much better. These tended to drag in spots which made the un-baked dough tear which also creates ripples on the dough. I did appreciate the free scoring designs that were included. ... show more

These little bread lays are both cute colors, pink and blue and they worked okay when I used one to score my sourdough loaves, but they are plastic and not a super thick sturdy plastic so I think they work fine and do what they say but I did take off a star for them not feeling sturdy enough to feel like they will last as long as my other more expensive ones. But if you are just starting out and learning how to score these would be neat to have on hand to learn with. I like how the blade can be easily opened and closed. ... show more

These bread lames are aweful. I had such hope for them because they looked like they'd be perfect for scoring sourdough. They do not work at all and won't stay open; it flings back shut on you when you try to keep the blade out. Total junk!
