These look great, and are certainly affordable. However, like others have said, the anti-rust coating will come off. Only one or two of the most-used knives, the steak knives, have had some of the coating scratched off, though none in food. We do machine wash them though, and it does say that hand-washing is recommended for longevity. With that said, the sharpener will definitely help scratch that off, too, but I still appreciate it being included. And the scissors are fantastic! I still recommend them though, just be aware that it will come off. Otherwise, it hasn't come off a lot despite a few months' use, so I can't complain for the price, and the handles will stay clean (not wooden) and they and the block will hold up well otherwise.

This is a beautiful knife set every blade is extremely "SHARP", it has different types of blades for different things cutting bread meat etc etc different sizes but all very sharp and solid for the price you can't beat it
