After a full year of daily use in a busy kitchen, I’ve put this 14-piece XANAPON Knife Set through its paces. For a set at this price point, the longevity and performance have been a pleasant surprise, particularly in areas where more expensive brands often fail. Daily Durability and Maintenance The standout feature for me has been the set's resilience. While many manufacturers advise against it, these knives are marketed as dishwasher safe, and I have tested that claim extensively. Even after a year of being cycled through the dishwasher daily, I haven't seen a single speck of rust. For a high-utility kitchen tool, that level of corrosion resistance is a massive win for convenience. Edge Retention and Performance In terms of sharpness, the blades have held their edge remarkably well. I haven’t felt the need to bring out a whetstone or sharpener yet, which speaks to the quality of the steel. They handle daily slicing and dicing tasks with ease. That said, there is a slight disparity in the specialized tools. The kitchen shears (scissors), while still functional and capable of making clean cuts, arrived and stayed a bit duller than the knives themselves. Additionally, while the steak knives are great for general table use, I find myself wishing the serrations were a bit "pointier." A more aggressive serrated edge would likely improve their "bite" on tougher textures, but they still perform well for most daily meals. Form, Function, and Aesthetics The storage block is another highlight—it’s exceptionally compact. If you have limited counter space or prefer a minimalist kitchen setup, this block is easy to tuck away anywhere without it feeling like it’s dominating the workspace. On a purely cosmetic note, the finish on the steel does tend to collect water spots if allowed to air-dry. It’s a minor aesthetic gripe that doesn't affect the performance of the blade, but it’s something to keep in mind if you prefer a pristine, mirrored look on your cutlery.
