If you're like me and have been considering getting one of these- it's time to make the purchase. You're going to really enjoy capturing moments from all angles and elevations with this device. But perhaps most important is the Hoverair customer service and the Hovercare protection plan. Do not pass on the opportunity to protect your device! I had a "flyaway incident" that was fully covered under the Ts&Cs and the team was incredible! The agents were so responsive to all my questions (and skepticism) about the plan and coverage. I'm talking responses to my questions within just hours. You will be so glad you protected your device. I saved so much money over buying a whole new unit. Brand New replacement shipped right to my door just days later (with a quick, very reasonable and secure replacement fee). The device is amazing! But the company's service level is what sets this whole package aside from competitors. I feel very comfortable pushing my creative use cases to the limits because the drone can definitely handle anything I put it through. The companion app is intuitive and feature-rich, and the video quality is exceptionally sharp and clear. Really fun drone. It's tiny and manageable and really fun to use with the different modalities that it has, either the controller or the joystick or just with the beacon. Low battery life is the only thing I'd complain about, but for a drone so small and for the use case, it's pretty good for me.

Very disappointed with this HoverAir drone. I bought it because it’s marketed as durable, beginner-friendly, and equipped with obstacle avoidance. On the second flight, while using Orbit mode (fully automated), it slowly ascended and then flew directly into our RV. It did not detect or avoid a large, stationary object. The crash damaged the gimbal and internal components. After waiting weeks for review, customer service told me it was a “collision” and not covered under warranty — and quoted nearly $300 for repairs. For a drone advertised as durable and safe for beginners, failing in its own automated mode after two uses is unacceptable. We were excited to use this on our travels, but it didn’t even make it past the second flight. Buyers should be cautious about the durability and obstacle avoidance claims. ... show more

8 month review. When the drone works it’s a lot of fun. After the latest firmware updates the gimbal no longer tracks. I’m sure there are reasons (it did have a crash 4 months ago but has flown several times since). The real issue is customer service, even after I purchased the care program. It’s almost all AI responses. No real way to get any resolution. I cannot recommend this drone especially at its price point with the zero support I’ve been provided. It’s a shame as I wanted to support this company but now I just want to warn others. Be aware if you use this for much more than casual tracking (walking or slow running) it will eventually fail you. I’ve probably only done 30 flights. So works out to about $40 per flight. ... show more
