I’m a beginner at this, so I admit I did watch a bunch of videos to learn to do it right. After a couple of less than stellar results I finally managed to get the hang of it, and it works great! To be able to design, print and then apply my design is so much easier than messing with cutting out individual colors. I can create far more intricate designs this way. Some tips: Make sure you have time to do this right. The powder needs to be applied while the ink is still wet. Make sure you have every part of your design coated, and then tip the excess off. Then, when you activate the design/powder, as you heat it, make sure all of the design gets activated. You want the colors of your design to all be bright. Any dusty areas left will not transfer well.

The powder was a bit chunky, making it difficult to get a really clean spread. Overall, the powder pooled just a bit when heated, making the dye-sub a little more splotchy than it should have. It adhered well, but wasn’t entirely impressed with the product. By the way, when they “show” that it prints on dark materials, that’s using a printer that prints the extra WHITE; the ‘white’ powder IS NOT the WHITE layer, and is false advertising.

I think the bag is a great value size, and it MOSTLY worked fine for me, BUT: I am using this to do DTF with a sublimation printer. The caveats of that are - sublimation printers generally don't do white ink, so I can't put my designs on on dark clothing. Not the powder's fault. I am not an expert at the DTF/sublimation hack. BUT, I did get it to work with this powder...somewhat badly. I did a lot of troubleshooting and it seems like this particular powder just won't work great with what I'm trying to do. I felt that it melted inconsistently.

I recently tried this powder for making band-related tees with DTF transfers. It worked well in securing my images onto the shirts. This DTF powder is very beginner friendly, and the bag is huge so you can make quite a lot of transfers, and mistakes aren't the end of the world. I'm very happy with the results I've gotten, and so far everything is holding up nicely!

Nice big bag of adhesive. It makes you feel like trying stuff when it isn't so precious, I tried the inkjet hack and it didn't turn out great but I can't blame that on the powder. My experiments with wood did go well and I got good results on both painted and unpainted surfaces, I have only used one other powder and to be honest, I couldn't tell the difference so this one was a better value.
