    • Quality knives, but could be sharper out of the box.
I bought these after having and liking wusthof in the past, but was disappointed that they weren't as sharp as i expected. They're well balanced, and ergonomic, but not quite what i expected from wusthof.

    • the reviews lie extremely brittle blade edge
I bought this knife set for work at a high end kitchen restaurant. After a few days of working with the knife I noticed the edge of the blade was extremely brittle and "chipping". I only used the knife for basic prep work with fruits, veggies and a few proteins like raw chicken (no bones) and steak. For how expensive the knives were I expected longer life out of the blades edge. I have another set of knives from a different company that held the edge much much longer with the same type of kitchen prep work.. Really disappointed as I did a lot of research for a new set of knives and these were coming in at top 5 from reviews. Its a shame ... show more

    • Amazing knifes
I've had many Wusthof knives and jut added these two to the collection. As usual, there is no disappointment with Wusthof - they are super sharp and the Classic IKON series offer fantastic handle that feels smooth and with a good grip. I just wish the brand ever offered sales and discounts.

You will not regret buying this set of knives. The blade is not only sharp but also very smooth. I cut two pieces of magazine paper with both the chef knife and the peeling knife. I can now join in with all the people that swear a good knife changes the way you cook. This set is perfect for starters. Since I bought these I have added the steak knife set and a butcher knife.
