The knives themselves are very sharp, durable, and comfortable to grip. I was concerned that the handles would feel too lightweight and cheap since they’re plastic but they feel solid and have a nice weight to them. From cutting up dense vegetables like thick-rinded gourds to cutting a chiffonade of basil, the blades have held up very well. Much more resilient than my Japanese knives that chip easily. I have ‘Sumac’, which is a lovely shade of reddish-brown burgundy. For the price $800+ price tag, I do find it extremely expensive for what the set includes. Compared to other brands and even cheaper Wusthof sets, a set of steak knives are included; these do not have any but if you do want a matching color set, they sell it separately (for an additional $300!). Additionally, the knife block included is in incredibly cheap. Not only does it look low-quality, it feels like something from IKEA. The open slat design allows the knives to loosely fit and not be secure. Within a month of owning it, the knife block cracked due to poor build. ... show more

I love this knife set and the detail that went into the aesthetic while maintaining blade quality. The knives are really sharp but the knife block began to split right down the middle of the wusthof logo which is really disappointing.

Haven’t used them much yet, but the ones I have used are sharp, beautiful, and really nice. The blades are thin and sharp, the block is gorgeous, the color is beautiful. Happy customer so far.
