  • Great Game! If you like Demolition Derby and trading paint racing you will like this.
I love this game! Sure it loads slow, but it is worth the wait. Someone mentioned only one camera angle, there are multiple camera angles to choose from. This game reminds me of the old Playstation 1 game "Destruction Derby" I really like that different races require a certain level of car (keeps matches even) and if the car you want to use does not qualify due to your upgrades, you can change out your older parts to meet the current requirements. Then swap them out again for a more demanding race. You do have to make sure that your car has the right drive system (front or back) and is from the right country otherwise your car won't meet the requirements. So it is a good idea not to just buy all American like I did at first. Another great thing is that you don't have to do every event in a series to advance. That means if you really dislike a certain event like lawn mower or couch racing, you can skip by them. You just need to score enough points in the other events to complete the series. It's just what I have been looking for in a game for years. Perfect mix: It's not too arcade feeling and not too simulation. I'm hooked. Very fun Game! ... show more

  • Great racer with sim handling and actual damage
I love racing games. The Forza horizon series was my favorite sim physics racer, now it's this. The derby events are fun, but a bit boring compared to the races. my entire focus so far has been the single player campaign. The campaign breaks down into several series of race and derby events with increasing difficulty and speed. Damage plays a big role. The races are fairly short, but with no rewind feature you need to pay attention. Each race has a bonus award to spice things up. The bonus can encourage you to crash out other players or lead the race for a full lap. You use race winnings to by new cars and upgrade your current garage cars. The cars are unlicenced, but familiar. You can customize performance parts, armour, and paint styles. As you progress in the game, cars get faster and the wrecks get bigger. By the time you get to high class events a large amount of the cars will wreck before the end of the race. It is intense without feeling unfair. The loading times between races are long for sure, but this is a fantastic new driving game that is different from all other current console driving games. If you want a racing game that is fun and adds in realistic damage you will love Wreckfest. ... show more

More often than not it’s WF After taxes and shipping the total cost was $26.04 The best money Vince has spent on Amazon in a long time! Get your frustrations out and get WRECKFEST you won’t regret it. You can drive like you really want to during rush hour without the police hassles ;D ... show more

  • Lots of loading
The game is okay. I rather like it. The loading times are a bit overwhelming, at least on the S. It seems I spend more time on loading screens than playing the game. So you load start the game wait for it to load, choose career wait for it to load, choose you level wait for it to load, choose your track wait for it to load, play a short race maybe four laps or a five minute derby then more loading and saving time. Want to play another race you have to go through it all again. The short races make the loading times seem even longer, and a four race series take quite a long time to finish because of it. This long wait time may go away if you have the Xbox one X or at least be greatly reduced. Playing it on the S is extremely annoying. ... show more
