I bought this light for my Zoom meetings in January 2023 and it worked than but I took it out for a trip I took this month and it isn't working. It wouldn't hold a charge and it wouldn't stay on. The light flickers. Save your money and go with another light.

I was so excited to try this ring light after reading all of the great reviews. It arrived, I set it up and went to plug it in, and to my surprise it fails to turn on. I figured maybe it had to charge for a couple of hours, so I left it to do that. It still doesn’t turn on. I’ve also tried this in every outlet of my house, so no it’s not a bad outlet. Do not buy!

I have been using this Halo ring light tripod for about 3 months at the gym. I have found it to be easy to adjust and it travels to and from the gym with ease. It is super easy to set up, and the light has different settings and the height is adjustable. I did find that the taller I made the tripod the less stable it was, so I just placed a small dumbbell inside the little block and it stood firm. I give this 5 stars.

This is one of those products that necessarily makes some compromises in the name of accomplishing a mission. In this case, that’s providing a portable field lighting setup that’s simple, cord-free, inexpensive, small, very light, and relatively flexible. That’s a pretty tall order and I can’t see pulling it off much better at this price point. Making the unit light and affordable means using more plastic parts than might be ideal, but I have never come across a light setup that goes up as quickly, is as light or stows as small with the inclusion of a tripod, adjustable head, phone holder and power. If you need something that’s built like a tank (at least when deployed) this isn’t it; that said I suspect that handling it with care during deployment/stowing it should provide me with years of service. The included Bluetooth trigger that stows in the base worked perfectly with my iPhone to snap pictures or start/stop video capture. For someone who needs to capture oldest quality (but usable) talking head video in the field, a setup can’t get much more compact than a pack containing this, a wireless one- or two-channel lavalier, and a phone. If this unit incorporated a user-replaceable battery (I checked with the seller and they indicated that the battery is permanently installed), I’d give it another “half-star”. Note: Turning the unit on or off requires a *three-second* press of the power button. Then, short presses adjust the brightness and color temperature.

This is a very nice ring light that can be taken with you easily for those away from home recordings. This is so small and easy to assemble. It folds down into a nice case and can be easily taken with you. It is rechargeable so you do not need to be near power. The camera trigger is a nice addition. It has 3 color modes which is nice as I prefer my color to be more white then yellow. It performs as expected so I give it 4 Stars.

This is one of the nicest tripods I have used. The combination of a ring light and the fact that It is collapsible is pretty great. The only drawback is the fact that I has to be plugged in so it is not ideal for travel, but other than that, it is great!!
