I was initially leaning towards four stars because the phone does not sit squarely within the ring light. It’s somewhat hard to adjust it so that it doesn’t go too far out or too far in nor does it always center well., I’m giving it five stars because it really lights up the subject. It really allowed my iPhone to capture amazing pictures with the light it provided. So, I believe that as long as I’m able to figure out a way to make the phone stay in place while in the middle of the ring light, I’ll be OK. It just takes a lot of work to get it perfect.

This works for the recorded videos and live short port talks I do. It came with a remote shutter clicker which was a great unexpected tool, but it doesn’t work with the video/ teleprompter app I use to record talk video. I will search for something else. The only real issue I was having was it seemed my iPad was just a little measurement of the “claw” that hold it. Fortunately, my husband was able to build me a platform that fits it and set it up where I can slide the iPad into the platform…but now it’s a bit heavy to hold it where I wanted it, however we rigged up a Velcro strap to hold it steady. So my advice, the manufacturer should catch up with phone and iPad sizes and adjust the parts accordingly. Also make the parts a bit sturdier to hold the weight on the larger devices. Other wise it does what I need it to do.

Ring light broke at the base after 6 weeks and just 2 weeks after the return window ended. Tripod is good but at this price buy a cheap tripod and a quality brand name light.

First, the tripod, iPad, iPhone holders and ring light were very easy to assemble with no instructions. The ring light itself is VERY bright and has a lot of different brightness settings and also includes 3 different kinds of lights for different settings. After using the cool light for about an hour it just shut off, I turned it back on again but that specific light would not turn back on again, only the other 2. I have tried a few times, and it came back on but only for a few seconds and then back off again. For that reason the product gets 3 stars personally as I’m not happy I can’t use one of the major functions of the product. The iPhone and iPad holder are very sturdy, but the iPad holder doesn’t have much room when it comes to being able to tilt it. It tilts a little bit up but definitively could be improved a little. The stand quality is very nice and I can see it lasting a while.

I love it! Just received yesterday, very easy to set up, love the height, and love that it holds both my iPhone and ipad. I have chihuahua’s who run around madly, so I am a bit wary of them getting too close because the taller it is (I am tall, so I need it tall) it is a bit more spindly, but I’m still thrilled. I love how you can bend the phone connnector to a position that works for filming cooking. I am thrilled. I did buy extended warranty to ensure it gives me years of good service! 😊
