This is a great setup for great lighting! I make videos of myself using my phone's front camera from time to time, and the portable light makes it easy to have good lighting anywhere you set up for a video. The phone mount is solid, and the cable is sufficiently long enough to plug in conveniently. Perfect for working from home! High quality and a great price. The flat base on this stand is exactly what I was looking for - it doesnt take up much room on my desk and fits nicely behind my laptop’s stand, and I can keep items on top of the base. It’s much easier to keep on my desk compared to a tripod ring light (which I used to have and hated). The height is adjustable and tall enough to sit right above my laptop’s webcam, even with my laptop on a raised stand. It has adjustable brightness and adjustable light colors - I like the natural light setting (not too cool or warm) with medium brightness for virtual meetings. I sit in front of a huge bay window and this helps provide more even lighting on calls so i dont look washed out. I also have blackout curtains and it lights up the whole room on max brightness. It’s sturdy and easy to adjust the lighting angle as well. The bluetooth camera remote has also come in handy!

I couldn’t wait to try it out as soon as it arrived! I’ve been shooting short videos lately and needed some extra gear. This light is incredibly practical — not only is the height adjustable, but it also allows the phone to tilt up and down and rotate side to side, giving great flexibility in shooting angles. The base is sturdy and stable, which makes it reliable to use. The adjustable brightness and color temperature really enhance my skin tone, making the video look more natural. Let me start by saying the one good thing about this stand - the base is metal, durable, padded on the bottom, and quite stable. Now for the negative - the light attachment point and the phone mount are both made of cheap, brittle plastic. The phone mount was poorly made. In my first attempt to expand the phone clip to mount my phone, one side broke off with minimal pressure (see photo). To securely place the light on the stand, you have to apply pressure and push it down. However, the plastic mount cannot slide down far and the security screw does little to tighten its hold on the stand. Any adjustment to the angle of the light is likely to result in it popping off the stand - which it did twice during my initial setup. While the pictures looked promising, the actual product was disappointing.

The weight of the bottom piece is heavy so the light won’t flip over easily. I would prefer heavy bottom. There are 4 different color setting and the brightness can be adjusted too. I like how I can change the brightness to my preferred degree instead of a preset setting. I haven’t noticed high heat from the light compared to my other lights. There is a selfie remote control. The light control itself is attached to the light by a wire which connects the charger also. The charging block is not provided though. When installing the light to the pole, you need some extra strength to push it in the hole. I had to ask my husband to help. That might be my only complaint at this point. Everything else works out great for me.
