The media could not be loaded. I have communicated with the seller of this and they have been very receptive to answer questions and work with me. The first had a defective controller and they sent me a new one. I’ve done a video to show the set up.     • Cables not correct, does not charge a 14V battery, terrible "manual."
The tiny print "manual" had a schematic of how to wire it, but the cables included had the wrong connectors on them to wire them that way. When I cut a connector off the battery cable, I could wire it like the schematic, but after running it a full day in the bright sunlight, the battery voltage (11.2 volts) was lower than when I hooked it up! The manual said nothing about how to operate it, to charge a battery, etc., though it said it could do that. I did hook a usb cable to the solar panel (without the controller attached) and plugged in my phone, and the panel would charge my phone, but I got it to maintain an automotive 12V battery, which it will not do. I returned it for a refund. ... show more

Bought one just because I wanted to experiment with a solar panel. It does indeed work, though the main product picture shows a USB breakout cable and two carabiner's that do not actually come with the solar panel so please be aware.

Okay, this item will definitely charge your devices, and will likely charge a nice ol' car battery too, I can't be sure I don't have an ol' car battery. But it DID initially show 12-13 volts on the display when I first exposed it to sunlight. So alright, check "charge your phone" off of the "How am I going to do this after a hurricane" list. But don't feel limited to hurricanes as a need to buy this, it'll work for other kinds of storms too, just as long as there's sunlight on the other side. You can also use it for camping, I can't, I'm in no shape to go camping anymore. Now, if you have a battery to use, you can hook it up and let it charge if you're in one spot long enough to charge it, and this'll provide you with more 12v power to go around, or you can hook an inverter to it and get a period of AC power going for those things that need AC, like a CPAP machine. I just wouldn't run too much for too long. Okay, I'm starting to ramble again, so here it is, this item showed that it had the potential to provide a decent and consistent 12v charge, offering the likelihood that it will indeed charge a 12v battery. This also means that it would in all likelihood charge 2 phones at the same time, although the charge rate and time have so many variables I wouldn't even want to guess. But I am definitely glad that I have this as preparation for the next big storm that rolls through my area. Would I buy this again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes. ... show more
