Torso is not as long as it appears (and I have a pretty short waist). The material is pretty slick--almost feels a little like satin. It's super-light weight, which is nice for my purposes of having a couple quick dry shirts. Comfy--doubled as a night shirt. It's true to size, but with the way the fabric lays, it shows all curves and flaws. Post-trip update: Used these for a 14-day trip across Europe; they are super-comfy and great for all-day wear regardless of the weather. You'll definitely want to layer up with these bad boys if it's chilly, but they're super-comfortable for warm days. GREAT shirt. I read the reviews that says this shirt is "too big" and I ordered the size that I am supposed to wear - and it fits great! Standard US sizing is perfect on this shirt. If you're used to ordering 2-4 sizes larger because it's "China sizing" then this will be a huge relief. Another plus - this shirt is made in Madagascar, not China. The quality is very good, with double stitching on ALL the hems, and serge seams on the inside. This shirt also fits comfortably loosely - not baggy and not tight. It falls the way it's supposed to. I have a 46" chest and ordered XL and it fits great. The ONLY negative is that it's 100% polyester. So don't catch on fire in it or it will just melt on you. Other than that, really soft, nice feeling, great quality...5/5 stars. (One note: I ordered the long sleeve version and it does NOT fit the same. It is shorter in the body - a huge disappointment. Finally a great looking inexpensive work out top! I ordered this top in black for my trial. ( black just WORKS) Quick delivery. I like that! The material is soft and silky. This is not a cottoney feeling t-shirt. It is not stretchy or clingy.i am 5 4. On the heavy side built straight up and down a little busty. Apple shape. I ordered this in a size XX large . This shirt fits as expected in sizing. With my straight shape many tops that fit my bust are very flowy on the hips. Not so with Joe. He hugs both areas nicely. The top hits me mid butt. Long enough to not show my tummy with arms up. Washing and dried with regular laundry. Came out perfect. No shrinking color fade or wrinkling.
