Description

The Worx 3-3/8” AC Vesacut Saw takes big jobs and makes them easier. Traditional circular saws can be a hassle—you either need to bring the project to the saw, or you have to lug a big saw up the stairs or out to the garage and then keep it there. The Versacut is a grab-n-go circ saw with the power of a much larger tool. It all starts with the blade size. Not only does the reduced kerf give you more maneuverability, it also puts less strain on the motor than a full-size blade, so it can be spun faster. And that reduced strain significantly increases the life of the tool. Speaking of blades, we threw three into the box, one for sheet metal, one for wood, and one for ceramic tile (24 TCT, HSS, Diamond Grit). Also included is a hex key for easy blade changes, a parallel guide for straighter rip cuts, a vac adapter to keep your workspace cleaner, and a handy carrying bag so you can keep it all together when you’re bringing the Versacut on a job. It’s only 3.5 lbs., so you can get into tighter places with this saw that you wouldn’t dream of going with a regular-sized circ saw. And that lighter weight makes it comfortable to use for extended periods. It also makes for the easiest plunge cuts you’ll ever perform. Worx prides itself on taking traditional tools and engineering them for modern use, and with the Versacut you get full-size circular saw power that is easy enough to use for DIY projects, but with the specs to handle professional work.

  • Pretty good
This is a nice little cutter for thin materials. This is a plunge cutter that has a trigger safety that takes some getting used to. It can be awkward to try and manipulate the safety switch while lining up the saw for the start of a cut. The other annoyance is the offset of the blade on my unit is 1 3/16 from the narrowest base edge. I know it’s a minor complaint but it would have been nice for the manufacturer to use an common measurement like most other saws. The chiseled guide in the base is off by 1/8 of an inch, so free cutting is out of the question if you need an accurate cut and the dust collection elbow is so close to the housing it is almost unusable. Since I am only really using this saw to cut textures these issues are not cause to return this item. ... show more

  • Awesome Tool for Cabinet Work
While this is not a tool that you will grab every day when you need it you will understand the value it brings to your shop. Many of us have been in the position where we have to cut down a cabinet that is attached to the wall. Often there is no easy way of doing this - I have used multiple tools over the years but have found this one is by far the best and most efficient. The 3-3/8” circular blade’s depth can be easily adjusted so as you plunge through the woods surface you know you are not entering the wood of the adjoining cabinet. This allows for precise, straight cuts that you can depend on. Some things worth noting, the laser is not very accurate - at least not to my degree of expectation. The quality of blade used makes a huge difference in performance of this tool - buy a good blade, it is worth the investment. I have used this tool far more than I initially thought I would and overall I have been impressed. It’s ability to cut tile is not great but I also don’t use my regular circular saw for that task. This is a tool that is great to have when you need it - the right tool for the job. ... show more

  • Ehhhh
Burns through blades. Dont expect great work. Very very disappointed in the mechanics. It works well for like half the project then quits like a 18 year old

  • Good for small jobs
This has been great for little things. Obviously it can't do as much as a huge circular saw but if you have small and repetitive cuts you need to make and don't want to haul something over to your garage to your chopsaw then this is a really nice option. Obviously the functionality is limited by the size but that's what makes it convenient as well. ... show more

  • Handy little saw, can't cut a two by four, only 1" deep.
This saw is really great if you regularly need to cut small or thin pieces of material. I had hoped that it would be an easy-to-grab saw for anything I needed to cut for home projects. The part I didn't realize was that even though the blade is over 3 inches it is only able to cut one inch deep which means it can't cut a 2x4. The fact you can easily plunge cut is really nice. It is great for cutting holes in drywall or thin plywood. The small blade makes it maneuverable and handy for cutting more detailed cuts than a full-size circular saw. This isn't a full-size saw so you shouldn't expect it to work as a full-size saw. If you want to cut a pile of lumber this isn't the saw for you. If you want to cut thin or soft material then this will be a really handy saw to have. One oddity in an otherwise well-designed saw is the laser. It is a bolt-on addition that needs its own batteries. It was a little clumsy getting the button batteries installed and working. It is confusing why a saw that has AC power would need batteries for the laser. Overall reasonably happy with the "Worx WX420L 3 Amp Versacut 3-3/8" Electric Compact Circular Saw with Laser Guide Technology", it is perfect for the person who has the need for regularly cutting thin material. ... show more
