  • ATROCIOUS battery life! BUT AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE
Pattern Name: Leaf Blower
I guess getting a free product means you’re more liberal with your review ratings? I bought mine and after a few weeks of debating between this one and the electric one I based my purchase on these positive reviews. THAT WAS A BAD IDEA! It performs well, it mulches well but the fully charged batteries lasted *maybe* 20 minutes. When I first tried to use it for a full job the batteries *had* been fully charged but then I tested it for about a minute and then let it sit for a week. When I picked it up I tested the vacuum/mulching for about 5min and then switched to the blower and it died in about 5-10 minutes. I knew from reviews the mulching took a lot of battery and that the battery prob lost some charge over the week so I wanted to test it again. A few days ago I had the batteries on the charger and did the first part of my backyard and grabbed the blower once both batteries were FRESHLY full charge. I tested w ONLY the blow function (normal, not eco bcs eco just isn’t strong enough for what I needed) and as soon as I heard the motor slow around 20 minutes in I was bummed AND ticked off! So it works well if it has juice and is obviously useless without the juice. The thought of paying $200 for a set of back up batteries hurts my heart so I’m just super bummed w this purchase. I wish I would’ve gotten the electric... no, i REALLY wish the batteries on these lasted longer, enough to at least finish the job in my backyard, which is only 2k sqft, bcs I really want the convenience of cordless. I tried to call WORX but they gave their peeps a very long weekend (which is great) so I will give them a call on Tuesday and will update my review based on how that goes. At the moment tho, I do NOT recommend this! ** June 9th Update ** I called WORX last Tuesday and they stated the horrible battery life shouldn't be how it truly behaves. They offered to send me a brand new unit at no cost and I'll be sending back the defective one. I asked the rep expected battery life and she said it's variable but most people should get 45-60 minutes of usage out of it. I followed up today since I hadn't heard from them and they expedited the order and I just got an email saying it's being shipped and I should have it by Wed next week. Fingers crossed! WORX CS is very friendly but not super easy to get ahold of (I've always had long hold times) but they do call back w/in 24hours if you leave them a VM. **July 14th Update** So I got the replacement and it took awhile for me to have a project where I could test it out. The battery life is still garbage BUT Worx customer service is ASTOUNDING and they helped me figure out a solution that will be suitable for me. So while there is juice this machine is terrific BUT I’d DEF suggest extra batteries. I’ll have 6 4.0 20volt batteries once I get our Nitro trimmer (with batteries… they come cheaper w a device than sold separately) so we’ll have a few to swap out. Worx is so wonderful I’ll just be ordering from them over the phone from here on out. Expect to leave a number and get a call back but they always call back. ... show more

  • Works well for spot cleaning flower beds, but only runs 25 minutes.
Pattern Name: Leaf Blower
I bought this to spot cleaning leaves from flower beds. I have a gas powered backpack blower, but it blows mulch with the leaves. This works well for my purpose. The suction is good and it is easy to remove the input tube to clear jams. I used it to clean my beds before a holiday season party and was satisfied with the performance. It ran 25 minutes on a charge and allowed me to clean the beds around the house before running out of juice. I am experienced with using lawn vacs and blowers but still jammed it 5 times on mulch pieces it picked up. The jams were easily cleared in the flower beds by pulling a spring loaded latch and removing the input tube. Hints and Comments - if you want to mulch leaves from an acre yard, this ain't what you need! I use a backpack to clear the beds, then mulch/bag the leaves with my mower. - Likewise, if you have big trees, use a gas powered backpack blower (big yards), or a corded electric (city folk yards). This does not have the power or duration for whole yard cleanup. - My son is a professional landscaper. They use a gas powered vac to spot clean beds and it is a bear to open and clear jams from. This vac is easy to open and unjam. - The blower fan is plastic. Don't suck rocks up into this! Also, gum balls might be as bad as rocks on the fan! They will, at best, jam the blower. - The motor is a well sized to pull up leaves (oak, maple, shrub, etc) and not suck up all your mulch. My main complaint is the batteries. I think a better size in the cost, weight, runtime, charge time tradeoff would have been to use 6Ahr batteries instead of 4Ahr. Also, (soapbox time!) who is going to pay $100 for a spare battery (x2 for a pair) with no more than $30 of parts in it!? I'll hang an ugly homemade battery off of it before I spend that on batteries! This is a good tool for small jobs. It allows you to spot clean quickly without having to start a gas blower/vac and smelling like gas, and has decent power/runtime for an electric. ... show more

  • This SUCKS!
Pattern Name: Leaf Blower
I bought this to clean up leaves around the house and it really sucks not only leaves. but branches and sometimes small rocks. The only CON I can think of is that sometimes it sucks more than it can chew, thus bloxking the intake which then make it suck less, which is bad.

  • Love it but batteries don’t last super long.
Pattern Name: Leaf Blower
Takes about 30 to 60minutes to clear my yard after a cut. If I am lucky, it does just that. It doesn’t take long to charge so that’s a plus. The whole thing is also quite heavy and when u carry it around, there isn’t a good place to hold it without pushing the start button. An ok buy so far.

  • Great vacuum
Pattern Name: Leaf Blower
The wheels on the vacuum are genius. The unit is very powerful and is easy to use. One of the best tools that WORX has ever come out with. After using this vacuum for longer than 5 minutes, the tool died after 15 minutes. It takes over 3 hours to recharge the batteries.

  • Batteries die too quick
Pattern Name: Leaf Blower
I wanted to keep this, but its just not practical. The batteries will last about 17 minutes before they die. But that's not the only problem. The batteries get hot and they won't charge until they cool down. It took an hour for them to cool enough to charge. Then it takes another hour to charge them. So if I wanted to do a one hour job, it would end up taking roughly 10 hours. Or I could spend $600 and buy three extra sets of batteries. And that would just be silly. I did buy some compatible batteries but they only lasted 6 minutes before they died. They were the HUSUE brand. So stay away from those. But I'm assuming all of the "compatible" ones are equally as bad. With all of that being said, for the 17 minutes that it works, it does a pretty good job. I bought this for the vacuum function, so I haven't even tried the blower part. But if you've got a small mulching job to do, this should handle it no problem. But for me, I'll be sending this back and buying a corded or gas one. ... show more
