  • Powerful, Reliable, and Built Like a True Worx Tool
Style: 2 in 1 Trimmer w/(2) Batteries & 0.4 Ah ...
Worx builds some of the most robust cordless tools out there, hands down, and this weed trimmer/edger is no exception. Right out of the box, it feels well-built, sturdy, and thoughtfully designed. It has enough power to handle regular yard trimming without feeling underpowered, and the fact that it can also be used as an edger makes it even more useful. The 20V battery performs really well on a single charge, especially for normal residential yard work. I was able to get through trimming and edging without constantly worrying about the battery dying halfway through. It is also lightweight enough to use comfortably, but still feels solid enough that it does not come across as cheap or flimsy. Another thing I appreciate is the convenience of not dealing with gas, oil, pull cords, or loud engine noise. Just charge the battery, pop it in, and get to work. For anyone who already likes Worx cordless tools, this trimmer/edger fits right in with the same dependable quality. Overall, this is a great tool for keeping a yard looking clean and maintained. Strong battery life, good build quality, easy handling, and the versatility of trimming and edging make it a solid 5-star purchase. ... show more

  • Great, light trimmer for home use
Style: 2 in 1 Trimmer w/(2) Batteries & 0.4 Ah ...
Even though my gas weed eater still works fine after nine years, I needed something lighter for my use. This WORX trimmer fits the bill perfectly. I’ve been using this quiet trimmer for about four months. Because it is so much lighter than my gas model, it is much easier for me (with my reduced lung capacity) to use without having to stop and catch my breath. I was worried about the trimmer line being 0.065 versus the thicker 0.095 line used in the gas trimmer, but that turned out to be a non-issue. The 0.065 line cuts and trims just fine and is less likely to damage the wood or metal fencing. In fact, one of the features I like best is an adjustable edge guard that helps keep you from getting too close to objects. It’s such a simple but ingenious feature that helps prevent objects from getting dinged by the trimmer. Another standout feature is the ease with which I can put a new spool of line in and get back to work. It takes about one minute. With my gas model, re-winding the 0.095 line required me to look at the directions every time so I followed the correct sequence of steps, which usually took about 10-15 frustrating minutes. It was not easy. Finally, I appreciate the fact that the WORX trimmer came with two batteries and a charger. All in all, this WORX trimmer is a great, light trimmer for home use and a good value for the money. ... show more

  • Would buy again. Impressed in the end.
Style: 2 in 1 Trimmer w/(2) Batteries & 0.4 Ah ...
Good choice. I’ll list the bad first and finish with the good. For those who just wand the bottom line scroll down to the conclusion. The bad: Instructions are terrible. Photo with diagram of numbered parts/features and the corresponding list are 9 pages apart. The step by step assembly photos and very limited text instructions likewise are several pages apart. The line spool is quite small and the line is very thin. When first trying it out the trimmer didn’t run smoothly. It kept stopping and going. I thought possibly related to the automatic line feeding. But wait. Now for the GOOD. You don’t need the instructions because there are multiple YouTube videos on how to assemble and it’s pretty easy. You will need a screwdriver. I bought extra line spools so I wouldn’t run out in the middle of trimming. The spools can be rewound with the brand of your choice as long as it’s the right size. YouTube this too if you’re unsure how. The intermittent running was due to the batteries being only slightly charged upon arrival. Each took a few hours to charge. Not found in the instructions but per YouTube flashing green = charging. Solid green light = fully charged. Flashing red = too hot or too cold. Solid red = bad battery replace or reset. When I tried the trimmer today it ran fine. While the line and spool are small in comparison to my previous weed eaters it held up fine. It tackled thick grass, weeds, and small tree seedlings with easy, I did go over the thick grass a few swipes. I use a tractor-style rider and had neglected to hard to maneuver areas. The line feed appears to work well and/or the line is quite durable even though then because every time I stopped to check it was as long as it should be. The shaft length and rotation for edging both are quick and easy to do. Adjusting the angle of the trimmer head is stiff but hopefully that will improve as it gets used. The assist handle on the shaft is also very quick and easy to adjust. The trimmer is not heavy at all. Conclusion: Instructions are bad but YouTube videos are easy to find and follow. Adjustments for individual use are easy. Light weight but does the job. Would buy again. Missing one star due to poor quality instructions. ... show more

  • Light weight trimmer
Style: 2 in 1 Trimmer w/(2) Batteries & 0.4 Ah ...
Light weight and easy to handle. Tiny spools but they do a very good job of edging. NOTICE: The only spools that work on this model are the WA0004. I purchased the WA0010 spools and they will not work even though they look identical. Be aware when you see that the WA0010, WA0004, etc. are compatible because they are not. The 2 batteries are good and stay charged well enough for the price. I have a lot of trimming to do in my yard so I just charge the first one while switching to the second one. Full Disclosure: I shelved my $200 EGO for this one . It was too heavy and it killed my back every time I used it. EGO brand is fine but for older guys or guys with bad backs , it’s just too much. ... show more

Batteries don’t last long when it’s hotttttt outside. Difficult to figure out at first (for newbies like me). Does the job.

  • Light weight and gets my medium yard done
Style: 2 in 1 Trimmer w/(2) Batteries & 0.4 Ah ...
I’m 75 and this is perfect for me. Light weight adjustable and easy to use. It was recommended to me and do thankful! It’s not a heavy duty for super big jobs. Takes care of my yard and I’m able to help others. Love it!😊

  • Line feed is useless and frustrating.
Style: 2 in 1 Trimmer w/(2) Batteries & 0.4 Ah ...
I’ve tried to think it was me, but the command feed is totally useless. I have to manually unwind string to the proper length and within seconds, it breaks to a piece about 3” long. This is when trimming 3” grass. I don’t think I’m asking too much of the line. I have done all of the worx suggestions to no avail. Overall, I’m happy with the trimmer but I’ve never owned such a frustrating line feed operation. The weight is light, batteries last better than I expected, the trimmer bogs down a little but picks up speed quickly. I wouldn’t recommend it if you have serious trimming to do unless you have the patience to feed the line every 10 ft of light trimming around your yard. ... show more

  • Worx trimmer/edger-Love it now
Style: 2 in 1 Trimmer w/(2) Batteries & 0.4 Ah ...
I've used my Worx Trimmer/edger about 4 times and it has taken me all that time to figure out a few things. First of all the string would break and not feed with the push button. I live on a large corner lot and I wanted to edge my curb of overgrown grass, dirt and creeping charlie. Every time I was progressing and loving it, my string would break, back up to the garage I went and "fixed" it, went back and started again. Same thing happened over and over. I'm sure my neighbors were quite amused with this crazy 70 year old woman who can't use an edger! So I took the string spool out and rewound it(takes about 20 seconds). In some areas the string was wound so tight I had a hard time getting it unwound by hand! Problem solved, works perfectly! I do this with all my spools before inserting them. Also make sure the string goes directly into the feed hole, not under or over the spool or it will not feed string. One thing I'm not sure about is having to step on the head to switch from wacker to edger. This may be an area which could prematurely wear. I'll cross that bridge if and when it happens. So far I love it now. It's lightweight, easy to use(now) and has plenty of power for my needs. I do not try to cut down small trees! Get a commercial one for that! I did buy the 1 hour charger, the one that came with didn't cut it. Took way to long to charge and I bought extra spools. ... show more
