Why did my tattoo pen stop working after several times? Avoid voltage over 10V to prevent pen damage. Check loose connections and stuck cartridge needles. Multiple issues may cause faults, please share details to us via Amazon Message Box for troubleshooting. Why does my tattoo pen only work when the RCA cord is in a certain position? Please make sure the RCA plug is fully inserted into the tattoo pen. When it is fully inserted, the metal part of the plug is almost fully covered. (Only a narrow gap is exposed.) Why my tattoo gun is dirty inside? That is the lubricating oil we applied inside the tattoo pen in order to reduce the damage caused by the friction of the parts. It is not dirty. Why does the tattoo pen only work with RAC cord in power S port instead of L port? Switch power mode accordingly. Set to L when RCA plugs into L port, and S for S port via L/S button. Great beginner kit will all the accessories to start out and the controller will save your settings switching from a liner to shader voltage just by swapping positions on the plug. The stencil paper is good quality and stencil gel works great too!

i’ve used this gun 3 times now. the first time i gave myself 5 small tattoos with little to no knowledge about tattooing (NOT RECOMMENDED). since then i have watched videos and gained useful knowledge but still nowhere near ready. Last night i gave my mom a tattoo, she said she didn’t care how it looked and said that she wanted “i love you mom” in my handwriting so i did it. on someone else it is very different. you can tell how far you’re going into the skin and for myself, i went too deep, but for my moms- i didn’t go deep enough. i will touch hers up once it heals and i get more practice. i keep getting told to use orange peels lol. also, the connector to the gun it touchy. sometimes it won’t work, sometimes you have to spin the thing or push it in further. it’s temperamental, but works. i like this gun! easy to put together, easy to use, does its job. perfect for beginners & the supplies that come with the set are really good supplies. i brought them over to show a friend that tattooed for 10 years and he was shocked how cheap the set was that he wants to buy one 😂 definitely worth every penny. ... show more

I’m not an expert but the kit is awesome for the price for sure. I got it, opened it up, watched a few videos on set up, practiced with the practice skin it comes with and then tried it out an hour later. It comes with all the things you need and is very nice and easy to use.

This is one of my favorite pens when putting in small details. Especially if you have small hands because it is much thinner than other pens. Also great for beginners. And you get some nice bottles of ink to go with it. Definitely a great purchase!

    • Save your money and buy a Dragonhawk L3

You get what you pay for. It’s a great way to get into tattooing for small price but DO NOT use that ink one someone’s skin. When you buy better ink, you’ll see the difference is big. The fake skin it comes with is horrible quality also. But PROS: good way to start and needle cartridges are good but CONS: you will want a better gun in a month. I noticed doing a tattoo after a month of having this machine that the needle was vibrating horizontally and hitting the plastic cartridge at different adjustments of needle depth. I just replaced with the Dragonhawk L3 and I am so impressed with the L3 and see now what a waste it was to buy this one originally. This one does the job but the vibration is so much more than a machine only $100 more. The only thing good about the money I wasted on this one is the power supply and foot pedal can be used with the Dragonhawk L3 if you like that sort of thing. Anyways - spend a little more. Not a bad machine. I bought it for myself but my Gf seems to be way more into the hobby. We bought some extra rubber skin because the kit only comes with 1 pad and 2 stencil sheets. The power cord to the bank ended up shorting out on me the first time plugging it in and hasn’t worked since but I pulled one off one of my old TV’s and everything’s been working fantastic since. Haven’t put anything on a person yet but I don’t see there being any issues when I’m ready. ... show more
