Shelving unit is well built and sturdy. The particle board is sturdy. I ordered two units and one unit was missing one side of short "rails". I Contacted customer service by email through Amazon as well as the companies own website (provided on page 6 of the Operator's Manual) with order number, product number/model and what part "number" along with count that was missing. I of course did this at nearly 5pm my time Thursday 12/21 before Christmas, so wasn't really expecting an answer till Tuesday the 26th. I impressively had a response on Saturday, so in less than 48 hours, which said they were shipping the missing parts. The missing parts arrived by FedEx on the 27th. So, yes it would have been nice if both the units I had purchased would have been complete and could have been built at the same time, but the correction for the error was perfectly done. Units were easy to assemble. I did it with one person, a rubber mallet and a wall. Very happy with these. ... show more

NO BOLTS! I have arthritis and it’s very difficult for me to screw in bolts. To assemble this unit all you need is a rubber mallet. Very, very easy to assemble. Very sturdy. Not only would I purchase more, but I’ve already ordered more. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Very sturdy when loaded up with items. My initial problem was a slightly bent side post that did not allow assembly. Contacted Workpro's customer service through email and was sent a replacement fairly quickly. I was then able to put it together by myself. Someone mentioned the plastic top caps and I agree, only able to get 2 of 4 on. This shelving unit is the perfect width and height for my purposes. For any comic book collectors this rack will fit 7 long boxes across and 4 rows high. Perfect spacing with 6 shelf holes between crossbars. It is currently holding 28 full boxes and feels very strong, approx. 1200 pounds. I also have my doubts about 8000 lbs. but someone else can try. Again great product and excellent customer service.
