I used them to move something extremely heavy that my wife and I had no chance of moving on our own, and as I demo in the video, I can slide a 40 pound table and another nightstand around at will. The original reason I got these wasn’t even to move furniture, it was to prevent holes being poked or driven into the foam mats I have in the basement every time I used a stepstool. Actually I just glued sliders to the legs of the stepstool and now I can grab it and be good to go. Lining up one with each foot every time I wanted to use the step stool got annoying. I don’t have those 35 seconds to waste. I keep expecting these to break and they don’t, since they’re just cheap plastic and cheap foam. But they haven’t started to peel apart from one another, either. In 5 years, we’ll see, but so far, so good. And it was a 16-pack so I got plenty.

Update: Dec 7, 2018 - Hey! So, happy to report that even though most of these that had furniture stored on them are permanently dented in the foam, and a couple are even cracking-- guess what, they still work completely fine. I'm pleased. I had spinal surgery a few months ago and lifting is basically out in general, so when the apartment I was moving into had carpet, I knew I had a problem. In the store, these are so expensive, but this looked like a good deal, so I thought I'd try them out. They work GREAT! The hardest part was figuring out not to center the corners of furniture on the centers of the pads, but push the pads -almost- flush with the edges of the furniture. Now, it can be a little difficult to get some of the sliders on when you're by yourself. However, it IS possible, and yes, even stupidly heavy furniture that's horrible for two people to lift can get pushed around with ease. My recommendation is that you do have a friend (or makeshift use a wall, carefully) to help you put them on under the furniture initially. I want to get some more for the rest of the furniture we have. I can't imagine trying move my furniture around the carpet without them. I HATE having to rely on other people to do things for me, but struggling, straining, and potentially permanently hurting myself is worse. This lets me do everything myself, and change it whenever I want, however I want.

I hate cleaning and I hate moving furniture. It's a pain in the ... So, when I bought new bedroom furniture I didn't want to be frustrated by either trying to move furniture or knowing there were dead bugs and dust where I couldn't clean. I bought these and put them under the legs. There's flippin ugly is what they were and completely indiscreet because the assumption is you're going to lift up all your furniture, put them in place - move your furniture, do what ya gotta do, move them back and take them out. Stupid. You know you're going to vacuum at least once in a while. So, why would you take them out just to "rinse, repeat". So these could be hella smaller and not in the poop brown color that makes them really stand out so attractively </cough> But for functionality, they darned well do work. I have a thick pile carpet and I move some fairly heavy (yet incredibly cheap furniture) across and clean behind with ease now. So, I don't think about decaying critters in my bedroom. I have enough trouble sleeping without that thought in my head. Besides, have you ever tried to sleep in room with a dead stink bug? These are your best friend for getting rid of dead stink bugs trapped behind furniture. It's just ... they're big and ugly in a Dorothy Zbornak kind of way, and loveable like Sophia Zbornak. But no sex appeal or St Olaf stories.

They look like and function the same as the more expensive brand name product, as far as I can tell. I've put furniture sliders under every piece of furniture I own, so that I can slide items around easily when vacuuming. Keeps dust/germs from accumulating in dead spots in the room. I mean, I can move the furniture without the sliders, but keeping everything on sliders makes vacuuming fun and easy. I started with the name brand product for some of my furniture, and then used this product for the rest of my furniture, because of the lower price. The quality of the foam, the slipperiness of the bottom surface, and the overall structural integrity are the same as I've observed in the name brand product.
