Works great to haul multiple kayaks at a single time; I fit two on the roof of my mini-van. I’ve got lots of hours on these now and still work great. Tip: if you get a humming sound from the straps give them a quarter or half turn in each spot that they are parallel to your direction of travel.

You’ll have to buy hood attachments but overall great product. I just got roof racks and the foam is still usable with the racks and is made for them as well. Didn’t dent my roof, left some minor scratches, but that’s to be expected. Would not recommend on dark colored cars.

I like the kit, but the foam pads tore as soon as I put them on my roof rack. So far, they haven't torn all the way through, so I can still is them, but I've only used them twice. I don't know if they'll last through many more uses. I guess I'm going to reinforce them with duct tape. The foam needs to be more flexible. ... show more

I have a 75lb tandem kayak that is quite heavy to lift onto my honda odyssey. The first foam pad is taking the brunt of the force and weight while I slide the kayak on. Its already starting to rip and tear the front edge of the pad. I've loaded/unloaded my kayak 4 times. I don't think the foam will last very long. This kayak carrier was a great find. So easy to attach to my roof-racks. The straps it comes with were ok for the money but not sure how well they'll stand up to time. But good enough if used occasionally. I believe you can use the blocks even without a roof rack system. I needed this because I was adding an additional kayak to my trip and didnt want to spend a lot and this was perfect. This might work if you use the pads sparingly or for a once and done trip. Not made for those who plan to consistently use it to haul a kayak. I had to return it and get a refund. I needed something much more durable than this.
